First, it should be noted that these are not Strangecvlt brand. These are YRU, which isn’t known for durability or sustainable practices. This is not VampireFreaks’ fault, as Strangecvlt doesn’t even indicate this on their own site. But when you look at the sole, there’s a big YRU logo in the tread. There are no photos that I could find showing the sole, so how is one to know? That’s disappointing.
I’m not sure how well these will hold up. They’re certainly nowhere near the build quality of actual Moon Boots, and the outer sole feels a bit like a slipper.
They’re very comfortable, though they slip off the heel easily if you have a more rounded heel like I do. So don’t expect stability if you find yourself needing to run for whatever reason. But these definitely are cozy and warm. I wouldn’t wear them in the snow because I imagine the synthetic fur material might get easily matted, but they’re great for cold, dry days! Paired with leggings and leg warmers and a big boofy hoodie (the VF brand ones are perfect for this), you’ve got yourself an adorable everyday outfit. With fishnets and a wee pleated skirt, they elevate the whole look. They’re truly great-looking boots.
I do love them and will keep them; I just wish they felt a little sturdier and that the actual brand was properly represented, as this kind of information is becoming ever more important to consumers.
