This skirt is even prettier in person! Its looks just like the pictures, it feels to me to be made of high quality material, and I can tell already that I’m going to be wearing this for a loonnngggg time.
But If you are in between sizes, you might want to read this bit:
there is no stretch in the fabric that goes around your waist, so be careful when picking the size. I sized up like another reviewer recommended, and again im glad I did because there is no stretch. But if you have an issue with needing to hold your skirt on with safety pins then you might need to get it tailored. For me, the XL is too small, but the XXL is too big. I figured I would get it, wash it and dry it in the dryer, and hope that the 100% cotton would shrink it enough to still fit but not be too tight, but now I see that I can’t do that because the skirt has that tulle material on it, and after doing some further research I’ve learned that you really can’t heat that up unless you want it to be ruined or melted. So then I thought I would use the corset design to my advantage and just tighten the ribbons and then re-tie the bows, but then come to find out that the ribbons can’t be undone because they aren’t actually tied together, it’s a separate bow that is attached to the ribbon, and I can’t tighten it without putting a new knot in the ribbon above it and having my bows be all droopy and sad. So now I’ve reached the conclusion that I’ll just have to bunch it in the back, safety pin it, and hope for the best. And maybe one day get it tailored when it gets too annoying to do that everytime. Again, I still love the skirt!!! It’s incredibly beautiful and I can’t wait to wear it out with some friends, this is NOT a negative review in the slightest, but I just thought I would spell out what had happened with the sizing for anyone else who is between sizes.
