Maggot - Nah, you're thinking of Gary Glitter.

Numan's still cool.

And yeah Jet, haha Numan was hanging around Trent Reznor for a long ass time. You can tell much of his new material was inspired by NIN. They remade 'Are Friends Electric' in a darker tone and it was awesome.

Maggot-Skull no cars is a song that makes protest against materialism, the oil trade and the car industry in our culture. Its an 80s song written by a 70s song writter.

Gary Numan was one of my favourite artist when I was younger. Certainly an influence together with Mark Bolan. I remember that I bought the Gary Numan "Cars" on a cassette tape. Cassette tapes were the in fashion back then. All sort of retro now. I have gone beyond my younger interests into my albums since 2000. I am pleased to see that Gary Numan is still going strongly and still appreciated. Unfortunately of course Mark Bolan died in a deadly car crash not long after I entered sixth form. That was back in the 1970's in the days of glam rock and the likes of the famous Black Sabbath. So much has changed since then. Music used to be made in a recording studio using real instruments, but nowadays it is all done on the computer. Even the instruments are software in the computer. Looking to the future is more interesting than looking into the past.
