Profile: Mechanical Emotions, the debut album of Norwegian and New Zealand act Section3B, was released in January 2008. It was recorded at different locations in both countries and involved musicians several of whom never met in person both prior to and during the sessions. The full length of the album is available for preview by streaming through www.section3b.net. Under §.3.b. it is stated that a person can be committed to a mental institution against his will when that person is considered to constitute a danger to his own or other peoples lives and well being. The current patients include; Yme on guitars and vocal; Stÿn on flute; Ingar on bass and Mark on drums. In their delusions they claim to draw inspiration ranging from classical composer Claude Debussy to doom metal band My Dying Bride. The record can, however, confirm that although these musicians have a wide range of experience with metal, rock, jazz, latin and classical music expressions, their combined efforts belong more in the genre of hard rock with musical elements stolen from progressive and industrial metal. The three tracks featured on this site are an obscure and rare recording titled Religion, Race & Revolution. This mini EP was recorded on a 4-track tape recorder in a dark period following Section3B's first escape from the institution back in 1997. It features Yme on guitars, keys, programming and voice eruptions together with lead singer Kjetil.
