Profile:  My name is Priscilla Hernández. I am an illustrator of fairytales and fantasy-goth and also a singer-songwriter from Spain. I was born in the CANARY ISLANDS, though now I am based in Barcelona. They also collaborate in the promotion of my music. This is one of my illustrations called "Hybrids" (from the HEAVEN and HELL collection)  I may not be signed to a major but I am an indie label owner, though I've had the chance to say "no" to several labels that were against the spirit of my music, including two majors. Then I found out small labels cannot do for yourself more than you can do with some determination, and for a rising artist, major deals are too abusive if you have a deep artistic conviction in what you do. I'm not a mere vocalist but a composer and songwriter and looks this is, when emerging,something a little bit incompatible with commercial stantdards. Thus BEING AN INDEPENDENT ARTIST was my decision to keep the true spirit of my art the way it is. I'm about to release "Ancient Shadows" cd thanks in part to the generousity of my listeners. Thus I keep all my rights and freedom. I'm looking for distributorsand shops interested in selling my CD and also for musicians for a live band to make 2007 Ancient Shadows tour. PROMOTIONAL TRAILER OF ANCIENT SHADOWS CD RELEASE.     Sounds Like: prefer to think that I sound like myself... people often compares me with Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Loreena McKennit and even Enya. I have to say that I find it a wonderful compliment though my influences are listed above. I think that every artist that composes from the soul hate comparisons though. I'm sure that happen to them certainly too! and they indeed have my entire support and respect! Influences: Tears for Fears, Sting, Joe Hisaishi, Cocteau Twins I'm often compared with Tori Amos, Kate Bush or Enya, though I admire this artists, it was recently I found out Tori and Kate's music, thus I do claim Roland Orzábal from Tears for Fears and Liz Fraser from Cocteau Twins as my true sources of vocal inspiration, well, and random forces of universe! :).
