OZZMA SHORT BIO

2004 Steve Desmadrijl started making experimental industrial music using software. Soon he realised that more could be made from this and prepared a small demo cd called 'Xima 04'. The name 'Ozzma' had actually existed for 2 years before that but was only used for 1 small song. At the Blackhearted party in novembre 2004 he did an 18min presentation and got some really good response out of it. At the same moment his former metal band Drown In Blood had split up so now he had more time to spend on the new project. 2005 Februari, Steve came to the idea that he couldn't manage things alone if he wanted this project to grow into the band he wanted Ozzma to be. So he asked Koen Ureel, one of his personal best friends to join Ozzma. Koen and Steve had the same taste in music and both the ambition to grow and expand. Koen also had a perfect rehursal attic so things only went better and better. Soon the first equipment came and song after song was created. In juli Ozzma had the first gig which also had a great response! Then for a few months more and more equipment was bought and another democd was being made. In octobre there was a gig on Ontwen Festival where we played between rock and metal bands. (except for Them!) The democd 'Virus' was launched that moment. After the gig at De Kelk things got quiet around Ozzma because of the many songs being mastered and the lack of gigs. 2006 The time is now! Be ready for it! We had a hell of a great support act with XMH (NL) and Obszön Geschöpf (F)!!! 2007 Ozzma is currently working on a new Demo!! Also the previous songs are being remastered! DEMON will be unleashed again!! Keep an ear on the VF-page! There are plans for a new demo-cd, coming near the summer. Ozzma is currently looking for places to perform! 2008 2008 will be the year of the OZZMA rebirth! With the adding of Miguel Claeys, and the complete revival of the OZZMA sound, OZZMA will come back to the initial idea of creating music that keeps evolving with the influence of today's industrial electro bands! Expect new songs online, starting with Hiroshima! I've put a new version of Angrip online, this is of course just a little sneak peak! Feel free to comment the change in sound! We need you all!
