Well, finallly I’ve decided to write something here. So let’s start with the basics: I am 17 years old, I live in Holland, and I’m currently in my last year at the Scala College. I’ve quit smoking for about a year now, and I’m very happy with that.I have a couple of hobbies in which I can totally loose myself. The most prominent is skateboarding, which I have now been doing for 6 years. My second hobby is playing guitar, and, since very recently, I also play bassguitar. I’ve been playing guitar for just over a year now, and I really enjoy it. My thirdmost favourite thing to do is hanging around with my friends. They really ‘mean alot to me’ in a certain way, even though they might not realise it. I also love to read fantasy books, and occasionally some science-fiction. And as almost any boy from my age, I also like computergames. I’ve grown up with Nintendo, and I’m still convinced they make the best games. My favourite genres are action/adventure and real time strategy. I love Mythology, my favourite being the Norse Mythology. People who know me know how I can keep talking about it for hours and hours. And as I am typing this, I realise I haven’t typed anything about music yet. Because music is sort of like cement in my case, it’s holding all the bricks together. If you ask me ‘what do you listen’....I always have a hard time answering that question. So I usually tell ‘the entire story’, and in order to give you a good impression of my musical taste, I will tell you the full story to. Well, not the full story, but the part from where it gets interesting. About 2,5 or 3 years ago, a good friend sent me some music from the ‘scandinavian melodic death metal scene’, think about bands like Children of Bodom, Wintersun,Sinergy, etc. By this time, I had already found out that things like Hip-Hop, or Hardcore (the Dutch sort of techno) were not my scene. So I really liked these new tunes, and started searching for more Scandinavian metal bands. So quite obviously, I ended up at the Black Metal scene. I could go on about how awesome I find Black Metal ‘till the end of days, but nobody is really waiting for that... I do hope that you figured out by now, that Black metal is my favourite sort of music. From there on it has been all Black Metal/NSBM/Folk&Viking Metal and Death metal i listened, until about a year ago. Since then, I also listen to things like: Drum ‘n Bass, (Ragga)Jungle, Dubstep and Minimal Techno. I also like Jazz and Blues, but i don’t listen to it really often. So there we have it, the ‘interesting’ part of my musical history... I think I’m going to quit typing now, because I’ve had enough of it. I have to add that I have no idea why i actually typed all this, but now it’s pretty funny, because i can now really see my life in a nutshell...or nutcase...'m’n leven in een notendop’, for the Dutch people amongst us.
