Fertile Reality
Latest Journal Entry: Concerts @ Popomundo Festival May 16, 2008, 06:40am
Profile: Fertile Reality has come quite far since its early beginnings in 1994. Then formed as an experimental heavy doom wave band not unlike the early SWANS and Big Black, but soon the style shifted to cold wave in which Fertile Reality flourishes. Fertile Reality is a band which values live performance as a mayor part of their existence, not that they are known for breath taking shows with fire works and lots of spectacle, in fact you might say the opposite. Fertile Reality performs their music statically and by doing so has captured the essence of its music and knows how to make the music come alive on stage. The incredible stage presence of singer Paul Broekhuizen and his deep melancholic voice take the listener deep into the heart and soul of the music. With quite a lot of repetoire the band shows progression during the years that pass. From slow and dark music with an attitude to compelling danceable floor filling songs like “Justin Time”. Fertile Reality is a band with a large and quite impressive live history:
Fertile Reality has recorded several albums of which a few facts could be stated:
