Profile: i'm cigar. I'm just about the greatest guy ever. At least I think so. I joined VF many years ago when I had a lot more anger and blood in my system. I was angrier because of my situation and I had more blood because I was fatter. Now I lost some weight and while my situation isn't the greatest, I've mellowed out significantly. No, I'm not a vampire, I'm not goth, I'm not very industrial either. So why am I still here? I dunno, I enjoy the culture. It's something I appreciate although could probably never fully commit myself to. There looks like a lot of maintenance involved that I couldn't keep up with, I have long hair and I barely comb that. I also find myself attracted to alt-style women, and most of the women I have talked to from this place are intelligent (something more attractive to me). So it's something else I can appreciate. If you think I'm a "poser" or whatever the devil it is the kids are saying these days, then I can only say "sorry" and from there cordially invite you to suck my balls. Most of my life is work, but I enjoy what I do. I consider myself to be a semi-professional musician, and a professional audio guy. I am a graduate of the Insitute of Audio Research and have been in and out of studios for about 4 years doing tech work and audio recording. For the last two years I have been working in production and stagehand work for some bigger venues in my area (PNC Bank Arts Center, Izod Center, Starland Ballroom, Count Basie Theater, etc). In the last year, I've moved up to monitor engineer for Starland Ballroom, so I guess I'm getting somewhere. I play mainly drums, guitar, bass, some keys, mandolin, violin, etc. I can sing, but that's another story. Most of my projects have dried up, but I have been involved with Perfect Crime, The Zombie Mafia, Spinal Remains, and a few others not worth mentioning. I've been known to fill in on drums, guitar, or bass from time to time in other bands... The only project we've still got going is Department of Defense, a satirical conservative hardcore-punk band. I am relatively confident that I can whoop anyone's ass in Mario Kart 64. Likes: Music, song writing, other writing, concerts, women (in uniform), flipping out at shows, band stuff, driving, crazy animation, big butts (I cannot lie), good parties, sexual escapades, goth chicks, vampira, dancing in the street, summer nights, booze, good friends, pain, me
Dislikes: Ignorance, stupidity, people who eat my cheerios and don't replace them Favorite Music: I listen to a lot of music, and will usually give anything a sporting chance. My favorite genres are metal (nwobhm/thrash/power/black/hair/nu), old school punk/hardcore (true punk/hardcore), and hard rock. I also listen to alternative, blues, classic rock, classical, older country, electronica/industrial, indie/emo, folk, goth, grunge, hip-hop/rap, jazz, pop, progressive, psychobilly, r&b, reggae, ska, surf/50's rock, 80's music/new wave, & 90's alt. I'll listen to anything that isn't out of tune. Top Ten (in no order): Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses, Misfits, Social Distortion, Springsteen, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Judas Priest, Dropkick Murphys.
