“Braindead” was originally formed and created by members Stefan, Grope, and Frank in 1993. The band was derived from the two previous bands known as “Dr. Med Zombie” and “Necropedophile”. After much practice in the north of Duisburg, we began to collaborate and create songs. Songs that were a mixture of Hard and Oldschool Grindcore. In the summer of 1993, we had our first studio recording date. Our first demo was called, “When the werewolf eats a leg”. After much more practicing, we recorded our second demo “Nurse of Death”. We then played concerts at the Druckluft in Oberhausen, Jugendzentrum Nordstr, and the Ringlokschuppen in Mühlheim. These places were always great to perform at and is the reason “Braindead” is now well known and loved all over the area.
