Please read this. Our present-day language seems to be a totally inadiquate instrument for our undertaking. If this is true; how handicapped we are!? After all, language is our professional tool, and certainly, any craftsman is seriously handicapped by poor tools. While the surgeon is improving his technique, the physicist building better cyclotrons. The general practitioner using more efficiant drugs, the farmer modernizing his impliments, we still try to do the impossible: to integrate personalities with the help of a non-intergrative language. A unitary language which would create, or result from, unitary personalities is a condition sine qua non for an integrated personal or social structure; but today the developement of such a language is in its' infancy.Becoming aware of the difference between observation and thinking is a good beginning for the body work. learning to get in touch with your body is simply being aware of what is obvious inside your skin without thinking about it. Much as we often overlook what is happening outside, most of us are even more cut off from what is happening inside-and even more cut off from what wants to happen. All our daydreams and speculations are forms of internal dialogue "On the one hand; on the other hand," back and forth. While we take the by-products of internal dialoguing as ultimate realities, we are largely unaware of the ways of the process and how tied up we are in the time and energy that is expended on it. We do see that we incessantly allocate our living experience into two or more roles which are in conflict because one at least is fixed by some ideal of what "should" happen. We do not see that in trying to escape the painful consequences of this division, in trying to put things together again, all we succeed in doing is to create a false unity: We identify with one role and take it for granted with deadly seriousness, and allocate the complementary role elsewhere as though we were not responsible for it. The organism cannot tolerate an unfinished situation. With every finished situation, we feel good; with every unfinished situation, we feel bad. To finish a situation, in order to achieve well-being and stabability, we mobilize out forces to attack the problem. The more obstacles that stand in the way, the more energies we are required to being put into play. |
Poems:Aristolelian SchizophreniaI'm not sad anymore Because I keep having This hallucination That makes me laugh When I'm sad. So I keep laughing All the time And that makes people Think i'm mad. So they want to lock me up, Not knowing that I'm Laughing at them For thinking I'm mad That's when my hallucination (That I haven't told you about) Becomes them... That is, unless you can laugh seperately At two things at the same time Without laughing twice. How Absurd I'm visiting here And there must be A bed to lie Next to someone In Somewhere- Whispers-an absurd Number of voices- Each one straining To hear The other Over the roar Of its own sound. At times One can hear them all. The ducking stool There stands my friend, in yonder pool An engien called the ducking stool. By legal pow'r commanded down The joy and terror of the town. If jarring femael kindle strike, Give language foul or lug the coif. If noisey dame should once begin To rid the house with horrid din. 'Away!' You'll cry, 'You'll grace the stool!' 'We'll tell you how, your tongue to rule!' The fair offender fills the seat, In sullen pompt, profoundly great. Down in the depths the stool descends, And here at first we miss our ends. | My MusicNINProject pitchfork White zombie Rammstein Lords of acid Dir en grey The pellows Babylon testament Helloween Rob zombie Billy idol Robert Palmer Calling undertoe Zantikz Live (Yes Fleetwood mac) Depeche mode Collective soul Androgyny Killradio The eagles Orgy Pulse Pat benatar Kiss Hayseed Dixie Anthony Rother Soul Center Ian Van Dahl PPK Mercyful Fate Dance to trance Luke Vibert Man with no name Mike shannon Sixtoo Emmanuelle Top Gwen Stefani DJ tiesto DJ Arbiter Banco Do Gaia technova Inertia Front 242 Darren Price Phaze Das Ich (SOOOOO GOOOD!) Your thoughts on...Abortion: My personal beliefs lean towards the Pro-choice aspect. Pro-choice abortion is the belief that women have the right to choose to abort a baby from their body. The "pro-choice" view is that a baby does not have human rights within the mother's womb. The people of the United States never voted on or supported this pro-choice position. Actually, it was the U.S. Supreme Court that "legalized" abortion as a result of Roe vs. Wade on January 22, 1973. Pro-choice abortion allows women to choose how to abort an unwanted child. Typically, the abortion method is determined by the age of the fetus. During the first trimester of growth, a woman may elect to use the "morning after pill" (RU-486) or have a Suction Abortion. At the end of the third month, the abortion is usually performed by Dilation and Curettage (D&C) or, after thirteen weeks, a Dilation and Extraction (D&E). After sixteen weeks of fetal growth, a woman can choose to experience a Partial Birth Abortion or have Saline Amniocentesis. Regardless of the moral and religious implications, every woman should investigate how each procedure is done, what side effects are normal or abnormal, and what complications may arise due to having an abortion. Just in case you idiots out there didn't know. To me it's an issue of personal freedom. We live in a society where we have the technology to control our own reproduction. This is an advancement over the animals who have no choice. Animals have to reproduce because of their sexual instincts. Humans have the same instincts, but we now have birth control and abortion which allows us more control over when and how many babies we will have. Abortion is also an issue of personal freedom. Who should make that choice? Should the government decide when you are going to have kids? Should religious leaders control your reproduction? Or should you decide it for yourself? I believe that reproduction is a personal right and that it is no one's business other than the parents to make that choice. If the mother makes the wrong choice, it's her wrong choice to make. That's what personal freedom is all about. It's the right to make your own mistakes and not have the government make the mistakes for you.Gay Marriage: "We cannot accept the view that Amendment 2's prohibition on specific legal protections does no more than deprive homosexuals of special rights. To the contrary, the amendment imposes a special disability on those persons alone. Homosexuals are forbidden the safeguards that others enjoy or may seek without constraint" Ask just about anyone. They'll all tell you they're in favor of equal rights for homosexuals. Just name the situation, and ask. They'll all say, yes, gays should have the same rights in housing, jobs, public accomodations, and should have equal access to government benefits, equal protection of the law, etcetera, etcetera. Then you get to gay marriage. And that's when all this talk of equality stops dead cold. More than half of all people in the United States oppose gay marriage, even though three fourths are otherwise supportive of gay rights. This means that many of the same people who are even passionately in favor of gay rights oppose gays on this one issue. Why all the passion? It's because there is a lot of misunderstanding about what homosexuality really is, as well as the erroneous assumption that gay people enjoy the same civil rights protections as everyone else. There are also a lot of stereotypes about gay relationships, and even a great deal of misunderstanding of what marriage itself is all about and what its purpose is. Gay Adoption: Researchers estimate that the total number of children nationwide living with at least one gay parent ranges from six to 14 million. Social science evidence agrees that the best environment for the well-being of children is a household with both a mother and a father. A homosexual environment, on the other hand, can model homosexual behavior to children. In a study published in the January 1996 issue of Developmental Psychology, London researchers Susan Golombok and Fiona Tasker found that children raised by a homosexual parent were much more likely to experiment with homosexual behavior themselves. Based on their findings, Golombok and Tasker acknowledge that “by creating a climate of acceptance or rejection of homosexuality within the family, parents may have some impact on their children’s sexual experimentation as heterosexual, lesbian or gay.” The state’s interest in protecting children should continue prohibiting homosexual couples from adopting children. Although gay advocates say that some children will be “languishing in foster homes,” if willing, any homosexual could apply to adopt these hard-to-place children. This is because single persons — including a homosexual — can already qualify to be an adoptive parent (this is already occurring, primarily in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas). Therefore, the push for homosexual couples to jointly adopt children is actually a back-door strategy to gain the rights and benefits of homosexual “marriage.” In addition, unmarried heterosexual couples living together should not be allowed to adopt because how can they commit their lives to a child when they refuse to commit to each other in marriage? California needs to continue the current policy where children are adopted by married couples first, and second by singles whom case workers judge to have a healthy home. Stability is the key to raising an emotionally and mentally healthy child; unmarried and homosexual partners simply cannot provide the stability that married heterosexual couples can give. "Children need a role model, both male and female. Every child has the right to both a mother and a father,". Homosexual activists put their personal desires above the rights of these children to have a chance at a normal family life with a father and mother. Stereotypes and Labeling: Considering that labels and stereotypes are created by anyone and everyone, I could give a shit. So I'm not really even going to address this. It's how we give first impressions, everyone percieves things differently. And truthfully, if I see someone wearing a hollister shirt and I see someone else wearing a corset, I'm more likely to talk to the person wearing the corset based on what they are wearing. Labeling is an easy way to catagorize people. Politics: I personally don't get into politics too much, but in order to understand the world we live in, we need some form of knowledge on our government and political affairs. George W. Bush. I have to say 90% of this site hates him. And about 60% of that 90% only hate him because their friends "hate him". I personally agree with all Bush is doing. War is by all means not a bad thing, in fact, I encourage war in a situation like this. Then the arguement always comes up that innocent people are dying, it's in a country that isn't involved. This is bullshit, I like to think humans have better sense than to throw this shit in a discussion. We are not at war with Iraq so much as we are at war with the terrorists IN Iraq. Doesn't make them citizens of Iraq. And truthfully I don't think they have any rights at this point, not after the little 9/11 stunt. If we need a so called "Dictator" then we need him. And he may say "Nucular" instead of Nuclear. But we don't need some dumb hippie, anti-war activist in charge. Religion: Religion is just something for these humans to believe in. I think when people believe in something higher than themselves they feel a sense of security and stableness in their life. For those who don't, it is basically guidelines and beliefs that one follows that does make them comfortable. Personally I'm agnostic and I believe in very different things, I mean, I believe in Evolution but I also believe in Reincarnation. Though lately I've thought about Nihilism quite a bit. But that's more a philisophical belief. Human Cloning: As far as I'm concerned, any advance in technology and Science should be explored. And the whole "Clones won't feel the same way, like they are missing something." One thing to say to you: At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how or where you were created. You still have the friends YOU made, and you still have the dreams YOU created. Stem Cell Research: Like I said, any advance in technology and science should be explored. Self-harm/Mutilation: Kill yourself, mutilate yourself- I don't care, just don't bring your drama my way unless you really are looking for help. Suicide: Do it. If you are truely dumb enough to want to do it, do it. Because if you really don't want to live, then I really don't care for you. That, or get some help, depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. There are medications for that. And if it's something like "My boyfriend broke up with me" get over it. You are probably like fifteen years old... You have an entire life ahead of you. A kid during high school a couple years back brought a gun to school and shot himself out in the courtyard next to the History windows. I was in a History class. I personally don't see the reason to make a big deal out of it. I just find it very hard to believe that out of a school full of 2,000 people, he couldn't find help or talk to anyone. But, what happens happens. Spousal Abuse: If she needed to be slapped, she needed to be slapped... No fret, women need to be hit sometimes. Men, if your woman can beat you up, you are a pussy. :P (Yeah, that's right Kiddos, start flaming me.) School: Schools great. I hate it in the fact I hate doing work. But I hate just sitting at home. Plus, education is great. "The more you know, the further you will go!" Stay in school kids. |
