Joe was opinionated, an individual, and real. He spoke his mind and he spoke the truth. He cared about the well-being of others. He was there for me through rough times, and I deeply regret not returning the favor.

It's a real tragedy to me that you're gone. You will always be in my heart <3

Joe=The smartest and most sincere person I've ever met in my life. He was his own person and couldn't give a shit about what you thought of him. He was someone that I connected with instantly with when he first joined VF and we've had some pretty interesting conversations the past couple of years. I still remember the first comment/message he ever left me back in 2005, "You sure are pretty popular, little miss"...and all I could do was blush and imagine him wearing his "pimp hat" and speaking in a southern accent. =)

I couldn't help but smile and laugh whenever I would talk to him and I couldn't help but be sad and cry whenever he was upset or depressed. It's so hard for me to get emotional but he's one of the very few people, internet or not, that I could trust, even if he didn't know it. I wish I was a better friend to him but I'm so fucking happy and thankful to have met him...I dont think he knew how special he was.

I knew Joe first on myspace and then here. Someone else had stolen his likeness on yahoo and that was how I initially found him. He was an alumni of the same high school I went to, so we made contact with one another and became "real friends". I stood by him during happy times and sad...and he was a trooper when it came to lending a shoulder. Joe never encountered an atom of negative energy that he couldn't twist into something positive. He was a true artist when it came to soothing one's soul. It was unfortunate for us that sometimes the brightest stars burn out first, and we are left to carry on without him. It's been a rough couple of years for all of us, especially his dear mother who misses him the most during this time of the year. Although I am not active in his family's life, I do work for the same employer as his mother and his younger sister is friends with my nephews.

Joe was and is a driving force for alot of us. He was the ultimate skeptic and philosopher rolled into one.

The things that I remember the most - the twinkle in his eyes because he celebrated every day that he was alive. The smooth southern drawl that you never expected to come forth from his mouth. His friends loved him dearly, he was never without companionship. And he ALWAYS, ALWAYS took the time no matter who you were, to try to lift your hardships from your shoulders.

I loved you Joey, you were such a good friend to me. You were always there for me when i needed it the most & helped me through a ruff time in my life. Thanks for all the smiles you put on my face & our talks. I love you & will miss you always.

Joseph Jackson, a man that had so many wise words. He was never scared to tell you how he felt, he stood up for what he believed in, 100%. If you had a problem and you were a friend of his, he was always there to help you out. He had such a good soul and a great heart as well. He just always wanted the best for everybody around him. He will dearly be missed and loved forever. I know, he's in my heart and never will be forgotton<3

Joe, you were one of the rare found trustworthy people and you always helped me whenever I needed. Talking to you was making me really happy as you were my best friend here, realistic, who always showed me the truth. We shared everything from sad to nice..I'd really wanted to meet you in real life..unfortunately we couldn't. Though you had never known how important you are to me... Your death is the first and last time you made me cry...I know we will meet in other side as you will always live in my heart. Everything around reminds you and I cry when I think of you. You're not dead for me and I'll love you forever and ever. <3
