REVIEWS
“Screams of Cold Winter unite traditional and modern Goth music in a way that is seamless. Crunching guitar riffs chunter alongside soaring female vocals and industrial percussion. The sound is quite fresh and heavy, occasionally choosing to lean intentionally towards a single aspect of its genre instead of combining all three. This should be on the musical list for any fan of traditional goth music as well as the traditionalists" E.P review in Devolution Magazine - Issue 19 2009 "The Goth band of the year is without a doubt Preston sextet Screams of Cold Winter" Devolution Magazine - Issue 18 “This Preston based six piece are a hard working tribute to what contemporary Goth music should be… With this EP the group take melodic vocal elements and splice them in between decadent synth work and a mix of complex riffs and rock hard drumming. .. This is a truly metallic onslaught concentrating on vocal prowess that is designed to fill stadiums with traditional Goths raising their fists to the sky.” Sphere Magazine 2008 “Screams of Cold Winter show a lot of potential and promise… they mix both contemporary and traditional sounding goth music with a heavier style guitar sound that seems to really work for them. However, it is the beautiful and elegantly delivered vocals of Trish that makes this band stand out from the crowd" Insomnia 2008
