Sladen Dead is a vampiric Gothic Rap artist from England. He mixes unique gothic melodies to lyrics that are reminicent of 1800's Victorian poetry. Some music by Sladen Dead and his group The Mourning are reminicent of 1960's music, but with a gothic influence.
A lot of his songs and albums are based around love stories and tragic tales of heartbreak, sorrow and vampirism. He is considered the "Dani Filth of Rap". A lot of his following are metalheads and goths.
In his time in music, Sladen Dead has worked with quite a few other artists in the underground scene including Scum of Lyrikal Snuff Productions and Mr. Hyde of Psycho+Logical- Records.
Sladen Dead labels his music as Gothic, as it does not use any instruments that are modern, and only uses pianos, choir, pipe organs and strings etc.
Sladen Dead is a real life Vampire, and was born September 4th 1936 and died in 1956. At least, this is the rumour that circles him and his dark lifestyle. Due to this, his prime was in the 1960's, which is probably why his music has so many 60's references and influence. After being Sired in 1956, After this his Sire dissapeared, and Sladen met Mary, a singer in the 1960's during his prime of slaughters and massacres. He fell in love with Mary, and was only happy when he was close to her. However, being a vampire, Sladen could not die a natural death and soon Mary died in the year 1999. Sladen was heartbroken by this and continues to prowl the night hours feeding on the living in an attempt to sooth his rage of never being able to be with the woman he loved ever again.
