I like to walk around Adelaide taking photos here and there then come up with stories for each of the shots and fuse them together with ideas I'd have on my way to town.. It can proove to be a long process, but it's good fun.

Hey, this was brilliant.
Heh, although your poetic examples were sort of silly. The way I write is whenever my lady gives me trouble, I just sit down, and imagine what I'd do without her, and usually I paint either a drastic lonely picture or a blissful existence with my words.
At times, however, I use this type of idea-making : I don't sleep for three days, and usually my best works comes out around the third day.
I usually follow an AABB sequence, although sometimes I'll follow an ABBA or go with the really interesting style of completely freeverse writing.
I know what you mean about several drafts, but it's usually best to wait and let the poem/song stew for a bit before re-drafting it, that way, you can actually get a better idea of it yourself.
One last thing, you guys kick ass!

I've tried the A, B, A, B scheme myself scheme, I haven't made any new songs, as of late, when i made my songs, I was usually in a shitty pissed mood, and other times an evil mood, I have 14, if I'm not mistaken, but yeah some suck, sometimes I listen to music and think up rhymes while listening to the musician's beats and rhythems too.
