Noiselab Project W.O.B
Profile: Whores of Babylon – The Noiselab Project is basically `Gobz`, a founder member of Bristol`s Whores of Babylon and Soundisciples embarking on an offshoot solo project of 5 tunes during 2000. There are many styles of music blended in these recordings, including : Trance, Jungle, Electronica, Industrial, Cybergoth, Metal etc. Vocalists from the 5 track EP were : Shaun ( then of THE WHORES / SOUNDISCIPLES ), Gizz Butt ( ex-PRODIGY / JANUS STARK / ENGLISH DOGS / THE MORE I SEE ) & Kelloggs ( THE SOULJAH CLIQUE / SMITH AND MIGHTY ). These recordings won`t appeal to all Whores of Babylon fans unless they happen to like some of the genres listed earlier. Fans of the first Soundisciples album `Undefined` should like this stuff as the content style is not that far removed from that album. The Noiselab Project EP was never released on a CD but has done the rounds on mp3 net sites since 2001 and has proved to be popular with the editors and metal orientated downloaders of all these sites. On the peoplesound.com site From 2001 – 2004 one of the tracks ( Destination ) proved to be the most downloaded metal orientated song of the whole site and also featured highly in the overall Rock category as well during this period. Destination also featured on a compilation CD released in Italy by the now defunct Vitaminic mp3 site. After the release of the next Whores of Babylon & Soundisciples albums in 2007 watch out, perhaps later in the year, for a follow up release to the first Noiselab Project EP which will be laced with samples taken from these 2 albums and maybe cunningly entitled - `Whores of Babylon – Noiselab Project 2` ! ! !
