My name is Ruth, I'm 23 years old
My favourite genres of music are Goth, Metal, Industrial and EBM, but I like a bit of everything apart from rap, hip hop and most pop really. I like going out and dancing to good music! At Slimelight, Synthetic Culture, and whereever I can find!:D I also love spending time with my friends and family. At the risk of sounding emo - they mean the world to me and I couldnt live without them! I've just graduated from university, and at the moment working in a temporary admin job, until I have enough money to do the next course I want to do My favourite band is Nine Inch Nails, then Sisters Of Mercy, then Iron Maiden I'm lucky enough to have seen all three of those bands live, Sisters of Mercy and Iron Maiden twice, and Nine Inch Nails three times in 2005, and once in 2007. I enjoy going to gigs, especially of bands which I thought I'd never see (the Sisters, Bauhaus, Gary Numan etc). Last year I went to about 16 gigs. I hate people who lie and cheat, and who are false to themselves and others. Those who pretend to be something they're not are among the lowest of the low. Especially people who manage to kid people into thinking that they're the nicest people ever, but they really are devious little swines. I dont appreciate people who slate religion - each to their own I say, just because someone believes in something you dont doesnt mean you have to take the mickey out of their beliefs. I believe in God, by the way. To me, a life without God is worthless. I do not believe in the Occult, or anything related to that. I believe in the Devil, as to every God there has to be an opposing evil force. I believe in Heaven and Hell. However, I do not believe that all those who are not Christian are going to Hell. People who live good lives (for example Gandhi) are in Heaven. Evil people (for example, Hitler) are in Hell. I dont like the fact that everyone gives out 10's on this site, no one is that perfect. Cant really be doing with the ratings thing at all really, I dont see the point. Although I spose it may make people feel better about themselves if they get a high rating, surely that could be done more sucessfully with a comment? I'm not a particually girly girl, I get on better with guys, but I still like dressing up pretty (some of the time!) and some other girly things. I love corsets! Though unfortunately, being a poor student, I dont have enough money to buy any! I definately think everyone looks better with long hair. My favourite colour for things is mainly purple I think, although all my clothes are black (its slimming, and doesnt show up the dirt ;) thats my excuse anyway! I'm left handed.One thing which I find particually annoying because of this is going through the machines in tube stations in London...the bit to put your ticket in is on the wrong side! I like having lots of posters on my walls, especially film posters. At the moment im trying to see all of the top 250 films as voted for here , and so far I've seen 79 I'm also trying to read the top 100 books as voted for here , and so far I've read 62. As I said before, I like going to gigs, but I'm not too keen on going to festivals, the ones I've been to so far, there haven't really been enough bands which i really liked to make me totally enjoy it, and its been cold and horrible. But some parts of them were cool. Apart from Bloodstock Open Air (please click) which really was amazing :) It was so friendly! going to gigs spending time with my friends! :) going out with my friends the feeling music gives me - this is more than a like, i just love how i music can make me feel, the power it has buying vinyl (especially iron maiden, nine inch nails and sisters of mercy stuff!! :) ) finding cool cheap stuff in charity shops/in sales/on ebay History, especially 19th and 20th Century history, and the History of the Royal Family Geneology (family history) Old things! Overly photoshopped pictures which are passed off as the persons actual look - we all know you dont have a totally white face like that, and your hair isnt exactly that shade, so dont try and make us think its really what you look like finding out the tshirt i was planning to wear is dirty not being able to afford cds :( coke (the drink!) hair straighteners being cold council estates people who insist on called HIM 'His Infernal Majesty' not being able to go to gigs girls who cut their hair short and then try and tie it up so half of it is sticking out the amount of people into 'emo' nowadays my chemical romance, and the fact that everyone is obsessed with my chemical romance! bullet for my valentine hardcore music 'metalcore' music 100 reasons coheed and cambria atreyu people who are obsessed with rating when people don't list the music they like on their profiles on here!! warm apple juice getting my jeans wet in the rain undercuts (in hair) short hair not having any films to watch the summer the heat insects - especially big ones, and those that buzz or make any kind of noise...argh!! when my posters fall down in the middle of the night and scare me my messy bedroom excellent festival lineups in other countries not having room for any more posters on my walls pearl jam music in which you cant hear the lyrics (apart from AFI!:) ) being sick  |
