"Let me out", I screamed, pounding on the inside of the trunk. My fists have become numb, my throat like sandpaper. These attempts were obviously useless. I knew what was coming.

Let us rewind a little bit. I am 22 years old. Freshly out of college. The whole world was in front of me.

I was walking home late, enjoying the crisp air against my face. I looked up at the sky. The moon's attempt to penetrate the blanket of clouds was beautiful.

Then I heard it. A moan. I turn my head and look down the dark alley way to my left. "Help me", the voice said coming out of the abyss. Every instinct inside me to me to run, told me to get out of there, but I didn't. Boy, were they right.

As I walked down the alley way, my heels scraping against the uneven concrete, I looked around. I saw no one. Then, my heart stopped. I felt a presence behind me. Before I could turn around, a hand clasped over my nose and mouth. The world started to fade. I sunk into darkness.

I awoke, dazed and confused. I quickly remember the seconds before I passed out. I jumped up, whacking my head on something hard. Trying to find out where I am, I lay back down and keep still. "We're moving", I thought. Then I put the pieces together. I am in a trunk. That is when I started to pound and scream, deep down I knew the attempts were futile.

And this is where the story continues. I know what is waiting for me when this car stops. I know why this stranger put me in this trunk. My short life will be coming to an end soon, I am just wondering how.

At that very moment, the car rolled to a stop. I hear the door open and slammed shit again. There were foot steps coming closer, screaming louder than ever, drowning out my thoughts. The key grinding against the metal might as well have been nails against a chalk board.

"This is it", I thought. I squeezed my eyes shut
