Hello, my name is Danica. I've been designing for about a year and a half. I've been coding for a year, also.
The first thing I actually ever made were layouts. I started making layouts in paint (I know, what a pro). I eventually found a free program (GIMP) to use and improve on my skills. I did okay at the time, I still wasn't one to compete against the other designers who have done this stuff for years. But now I'm better at it thanks to my new program (Photoshop CS5) and experience.
