I wrote this when i was 16
it's not my favorite relevant poem, but it's layin on top of the pile lol

“Bus Ride”

I’m sitting on a bus with a murderer with squinty slanted eyes
Reeking of cigarettes and alcohol, clasping his hands between his thighs
A leather ring bearing a green Gemini symbol and cross
Below it are five burn marks, perhaps for the lives we lost

New tennis shoes for a menace who may need to split the scene in a run
There’s a lump protruding from the back of his hoody. Is it a gun?
I notice three holes in his pants. Two on the left. One on the right
And a big cut under his chin obviously from a knife fight.

He’s bald and tall, I can’t turn away from the hair on his arms and hands
More burn marks….indulging in fetish? Or keeping count of the heads of man?
An obvious masochist, because of the cut’s under his rolled up sleeves
He’s probably done so many twisted things that no one would believe.

I don’t know why I looked in his eyes, I’ll never forget what I’ve seen
A twitching hiding thin yellow veins. I swear he just left a murder scene
Perhaps he’s insane, perhaps he’s deranged, perhaps he’s taken drugs
But after the course of this long bus ride I feel he’s just looking for love.

One dark and cold night a man was driving down an old road in a strange countryside far from home. He was listening to the radio when he started noticing a faint noise that sounded something like WRAP WRAP WRAP. At first he thought it was something weird going on with his radio, so he shut it off, but now he realized it wasn't his radio as the noise continued now just a little more clearly. He kept driving a half mile with the noise getting ever and ever louder as he kept moving. He came across a small house and stopped his car. He heard now, very loudly the WRAP WRAP WRAP sound. He got out of his car and walked to the front door, and heard the sound very clearly. He walked inside the house, turned a cornor and then BAM a 12 gauge shotgun shell enterted his chest, killing him before he even hit the ground. The owner had shot the dumb bastard for breaking into his house just to investigate some stupid noise.
