"ROOM NINETEEN" ALBUM REVIEWS!

“Wolfgang Parker must die! This guy would have in fact already of being with the paradise of the rock' roll to type the paperboard and to make noise with icons like Al Capone, Sammy Davis Jr., Elvis, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones and Joey Ramone! He is too good to be of this world! ”

"...So the first for tracks are heavily rock loaded, til the pace is cut by the song 'Mata Hari'. And it’s also kept up with the following songs 'Half Way Around The World' – in which the swinging guitar sound shines out – and the absolutly brilliant song 'Swing Baby Swing', which captures the classic sound of the Rat Pack (ala Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Junior), but allows Parker's course voice to shine through and make the song his own. This is a song with that you can seduce your swing lover. And it follows one hit after another, until the highlight is found with the song 'The Mice, The Demons And The Piggies'..."

"...and if WOLFGANG PARKER does not have the most perfect voice in Swing then I don't know who does...I have listened to 'Room nineteen' already over 20 times and I discover new highlights again and again. My absolute favourite song is 'The Mice, the Demons and the Piggies.' Don't waste time worrying if it will be good. Go to the record store, buy it and run home and slam the disc immediately into the CD-Player. Good mood is guaranteed. I stand by it with my good name."

"In all honestly, I shouldn't really like this at all, but I do. Punk Swing, which mixes 30's and 40's Swing Jazz with Rock 'n' Roll with a Punk attitude should be the sort of stuff that's kept for musical nightmares, but this works and is genuinely impossible not to enjoy...Mr. Parker and co have produced 19 catchier-than-hell songs that Rock 'n' Roll for just under an hour...All of this is set to a cool cool groove and will either have you jumping around one minute and chillin' out the next."

"Oops! Did Reverend Horton Heat and Brian Setzer an illegitimate son named Wolfgang?...The first songs are top-notch Rockabilly in a Reverend style with an impossibly good energy and groove. Then it switches gears and varies between relaxed swing, jazz and lounge ...And even more styles. If after a few more minutes you still haven't found the perfect track, hold off until you have listened through all 19 tracks. In between come repeatedly beautiful rocking numbers, and above all, not one boring one!"
Zenzor.net

"...there are some corkers on here. “Half Way Around The World”, “I Could Be You” and “Shiseido” are all fine examples of the man’s song writing talent and these are plenty reason for you to check out this CD. I suppose the best way of describing it is a very subtle and laid back Reverend Horton Heat..."

"'Room Nineteen' finds it's strength self-sufficiency, sheer variety and class that it is a true joy to listen to. "

"Vocals are always a giveaway in swing music since you can definitely miss with them. Wolfgang Parker, however, has hit the nail on the head and the vocals are, for me, the main element of this band. They are sweet, smooth like so much Jack Daniels poured into ones mouth. This comes across predominantly on the title track 'Room Nineteen' a truly perfect song....It’s a great album with a load of excellent tracks that, if you’re into swing music, you’ll simply love. A massive thumbs up from me with both of my hands."

"Mr. parker has been one of the first combining the clean sounds of swing with the energy of Rock 'n' Roll, and he still knows how to do it...oh yes! "
The Flying Revolver Blatt

"'Room Nineteen,' is full of energy and joy to listen to."

"Each Song has a one-hundred year-old foundation. But it again and again (Parker) injects the songs with Rock 'n' Roll of the 50's, Punkrock, Soul and Pop and styles ranging from Brian Setzer, Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra and Robbie Williams - and that is meant as HUGE complement!"
Gaesteliste.de

"Very Good!...Wolfgang Parker's Europe-debut really deserves attention."
