Elegance was born in a Atlantian tribe that had survived the great sink. The few people who survived moved to land and learned to adept, but kept their existence a secret our of fear that they would be separated. Elegance was named after her most stunning trait, as were most of the people in her village. It was a unique name, but she learned to love it. As a child, she was spoiled by her family and by her neighbors. They considered her a great blessing because she was a girl, a gender that their tribe was running low on due to death by childbirth..When her people migrated to the land, the first creature they met was the lion which they learned to worship. For some odd reason, when a female was born the lions would come and take the child. The women liked to believe the lions took them to become the brides of a god, as a result on this, female children were rare. Elegance's mother was far too caring to sacrifice her little girl, so when the lioness came for Elegance, her mother took the place of her child and died. She was the first female to survive, and after her mother's death..no other girl's passed. The men of her tribe praised her, and treated her as a queen with hopes that when she was old enough, she would choose one of them as her husband and bear their child. But as she got older, she also got much..much more beautiful. The people of her tribe grew suspicious. A being so healthy, and so beautiful could not be human. Perhaps her mother was unfaithful and fell for the great gods charm. Her people, convinced that Elegance was a cursed child..they decided to burn her alive. With teary eyes, and a raw throat she walked to her fate. As the fire danced around her bare feet, something within Africa moved. The lions crowded the city, threatening the lives of the people. Out of fear, they released her. Elegance fled her people and came upon a lone creature, which cast it's curse upon her. And that is where her story continues...
