Aurora was born on December 21st, the first day of winter and the shortest day of the year, she shared this birthday with her twin brother, Naru. They were the children of the high Priestess, whom had passed away while giving birth to them. The loss of her life was tragic, the people of Karu's country thought they had lost all connection to the gods. It was tradition, that if the Priest or Priestess should pass that the eldest of her children would take her place, but in order for that to happen, one of the twins would have to die.
Her country took pity on the twins, and decided when the time came..they would sacrifice one of them. But as time passed, the people forgot about their promise.
Naru grew up to be a very studious young man, handsome, and athletic. He was a great warrior, just like the men of his country prayed for. Aurora, on the other hand, became the talk of every country. Her beauty and elegance were unmatched by any woman, and her love for the people was noted amongst the leaders.
On their 17th birthday, Naru convinced Aurora to accompany him of a small journey to see their mother's birth home. After traveling for days, Aurora started to feel uneasy. Naru refused to let go of her hands, as though he was dragging her there with him. Once they finally stopped, Aurora realized they were no where near their mother's birth home..As her fate slowly dawned on her, Naru confessed his sin to her. He wanted power, but with her in the way he could never become High Priest. This was going to be the sacrifice their country prayed for, although he couldn't kill her or the country people would kill him for having tainted hands. He was going to take what made her so pure, her virginity. Aurora tried to run, she tried to call out to her lost mother. But nothing could ease the pain pounding into her body.
After being raped by her brother, he left her there.
Once she gained conciseness, she ran back to her land and tried to tell the people what had happened to her. Naru had already told the story, of how his sister was sleeping with a peasant boy. Once the people proved her body was no longer pure, they chased her out of the country. Without a home, a family, or even a wholesome body..Aurora planned to kill herself.
But in the midst of the night..a wolf came to her. It passed it's curse onto her, and gave her a new body, in the form of a wolf. And from there..her story continues..
