Likes: Red high-heels, my absolute fetish. Send me pictures and I'll probably love you forever. Dolls and mannequins, especially when they're used in fashion. I go into clothes shops in town and stare at them for hours. They tend to make much better company than people. Art and culture from the '60s and early '70s. It was a fascinating time, with some fascinating art. I wish I'd lived through that period, but at least it left a legacy that satisfies my tastes even 40 years on. Fashion photography. I mean proper fashion photography. Anyone can be a living clothes rack, I'm only interested in models who bring something unique to their photos, and show off someone else's work as well (clothes, hair, makeup... it all appeals). Making collages from magasine clippings. Taking beautiful pictures, contrasting them with hideous pictures, and then setting the whole thing on fire. It sounds like a mess, but it usually turns out surprisingly well. Decaying urban environments. Burnt out buildings, crumbling factories and warehouses, deserted military bases... Anything that shows the isolation of our world. I tend to leave the countryside to other people, I need to live alongside rust and filth to feel inspired. Violent girls. Not loud, obnoxious thugs who advocate senseless violence, but girls who can be sweet and loving one minute and then vicous the next. Too much of one thing bores me, I like people who change all the time. It keeps me on my toes, keeps me interested. Noodles from Camden market. No explanation needed, they're just THE best noodles in the world. |
