  This is my Idol and my Hero Max Cavelera. I first discovered his genious when my cousin gave me Sepultura beneathe the remains when I was 6. From that point Sepultura was my favourite band. Max's lyrics and fierce roars spoke to the angry Little bastard I was growing up. He taught me to stand up for myself and that even though I was a fat kid i could be something more. When Max was Fired from sepultura i was disgusted. but when he came back with Soulfly I was astonished. He got deeper and more fearsome. Soulfly is my favourite band and max to me is one of the great forces that keeps the tribal life alive. he is a true inspiration.   Lead Singer of Immortal, the first black metal band I fell in love with. when I was 10 my cousin gave me Battles In The North and Pure Holocaustand it fucking blew me away. As i got older i started looking at Interbiews with Abbath and starting listening to the lyrics more and god I Abbath brought me into the world of Vikings and norse gods. When I was a kid I only had an imagination to keep me company. I know its pathetic but when your the 11 year old fat angry kid you dont make much friends. Abbaths lyrics and music helped to give the ddrive to be strong. His newer band I blows me away and shows me his musical versitility. A true inspiration.  Now this man is a true musical Genious and someone whos not afraid to say what he feels he needs to say. Fueled On drugs and booze and able to Pull himself out of the gutter and finaly end his Time with minsitry when hes nearly 50 years old. Its the kinda career that ic love to lead one day. And also he doesnt have a to be a grim fucker, one funny son of a bitch. He just fuckin rocks. |
