My name is Melissa. I've been on this site since 2006 but I don't get any recognition. I kinda just blend in with everyone. Sometimes I'm like that in real life too. I like to think that I'm a pretty interesting/nice person though.
I'm 19, married and I'm from Canada but I'm living in California now.
I play World Of Warcraft and believe it or not that's how I met my husband, Andrew. The story is like a modern day fairytale with a touch of nerdiness. ;P
I've had one hell of a life. But I've always said "Even though I've gone through so much hardship and pain at least I can say my life hasn't been boring!"
I like watching movies all day in bed. I like movies like Donnie Darko, Repo The genetic opera, Kick Ass, Interview with a vampire, Gingersnaps, The Devils Rejects, 300, Pan's Labyrinth, Lord of The rings, Harry Potter, Drive Angry, Machete, Sucker Punch, Tron and Disney movies like Finding Nemo and Mulan :D
Shows: Game of Thrones, Dexter, The walking dead, Buffy, Trueblood and (whispers out of shame) Pretty Little Liars.
I have a lot of strong opinions but I don't push them on other people so don't worry :)
Phrases that suit my life and beliefs:
"Through the thorns there is a rose"
“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.” ― Marcus Aurelius
"If in everyday life, you are asked about continued existence after death by one of those people who would like to know everything but refuse to learn anything, the most appropriate and approximately correct answer is: ‘After your death you will be what you were before your birth.’ For this answer implies that it is preposterous to demand that a species of existence which had a beginning should not have an end; in addition, however, it contains a hint that there may be two kinds of existence and, correspondingly, two kinds of nothingness." -Arthur Schopenhauer
"Each of us only butters the corners of our own bread" - Me
"Truth is, everybody is going to hurt you; you just gotta find the ones worth suffering for." -Bob Marley
"There is no heaven or hell, save those we construct for ourselves, but there is here and now, and that's enough. The way you conduct yourself with fellow human beings is a holy act" -Elizabeth Ruth
