Leo begins his brilliant career as Singer in the emblematic band of Spanish heavy metal SARATOGA. The band reaches at the top with songs like MALDITO CORAZON and SI AMANECIERA, performed masterfully by the best voice of rock in Spain, LEO JIMENEZ. The freshness that Leo gives to the band was a definite impulse for Saratoga and, on his behalf, the very Leo Jimenez, at the top of the metal scene in the country. After editing together songs like Vientos de Guerra, Saratoga would achieve perhaps the best of themselves with the following album: Agotarás. Las Puertas del Cielo, A Morir or Resurrección became the classics of the band and made clear the rage of Leo's voice. After Agotarás, followed El Clan de la Lucha ( and the following English version), and Tierra de Lobos, two DVD's ( one of them golden DVD: 1992-2004). Thus, Leo becomes one of the most popular faces of the re – arised Spanish heavy metal scene. It is with Saratoga with whom he plays in LAS VENTAS of Madrid, next to Mago de Oz, on the 2nd of July of 2004. Besides we have the mythical rock festivals in Spain, like Viñarock before 25.000 people. Highlighted appearances on TVE in programmes like Musica 1, amongst others. In the front page of the magazine Tentaciones of the newspaper EL PAIS. He simultaneously puts together is own band STRAVAGANZZA, getting labeled by AVISPA, with three records in the market. In October 2006, on Saratoga's website appears a publication about Leo abandoning the band. On the website, it is claimed that it is a change of cycle as motive of his decision: it was about complete dedication to Stravaganzza. Just as he did before with Saratoga, Leo Jimenez takes Stravaganzza to the highest of the Spanish scene. His musical performance stands out in festivals as important as POPKOMM in Berlin, the Monterrey Metal Fest in Mexico ( during his Southamerican tour) and many times in Spanish festivals like Viñarock and Extremúsica. The metal change is also related to his voice. Unlike Saratoga, Stravaganzza does a more intimate, dark and romantic metal. Intimate, dark and romantic will also be his voice ( without forgetting that we are talking about metal). Leo leaves behind the recurrent sharp heavy metal or Power metal, choosing even throaty accents. The metal of Stravaganzza gets a minor projection than Saratoga, but the quality is remarkable. In fact, his voice has a very high and sharp record, therefore he becomes a counter – tenor or light tenor. With the version that Stravaganzza does of the known song "Hijo de la luna" of Mecano, they achieve the recognition of a bigger audience and the most important press media of the country are interested in Stravaganzza. They appear in concerts of Radio 3 and Musica 1 of the Spanish television channel. In May 2010, Stravaganzza hits the scene again with the outcoming of their fourth studio album "Raices" ( 2010). After this, this band ceaces in order to get focused on LEO 037. In the beginning of 2010, he receives the proposal of the mythical to head the opera rock play JesusChrist Sueprstar of Andrew Lloyd Weber. These were roles performed by Ian Gilland and Camilo Sesto. Successful release in Valencia on the 9th of May of 2010. His latest and current project is the band LEO 037 that is put together next to Ix Valieri. It is titled "TITERE CON CABEZA". Right from the beginning they receive different awards amongst them the revelation band award. This new record reminds his Heavy metal past with Saratoga, although it is a much more inspired rock of the eighties and nineties. During more than ten years the specialized press of rock in Spain have awarded him as the best vocalist.
