About Me
The band Kubrick was born in 2004, three members with the right attitude and a common goal: rock the stage. The first demo came out in one month and it took even less time to receive positive feedback; shortly after it was followed by a full length album titled "Cyberbeauty". "Cyberbeauty" is a mix of razorblade electric guitars, mechanical drum-machines, synthetic keyboards and melancholic piano tied up together by Keen's haunted but mesmerizing vocals and pre-apocalyptic/post-futuristic visionary lyrics. The album was a success and brought the band on a 2 years live tour all around Europe, including Rome, Milan, Geneva,Paris, London, Berlin, Wien. Kubrick never left the studio in between dates and collected a long list of remixes for famous artists like Dopestars Inc (Overdriven, Generation Plastic), Wumpscut (Just a Tenderness), Nine Inch Nails (Only) and Mortiis (The Grudge) that released the two different remixes on a cd and a limited edition vinyl, making Kubrick the only band with two track in the album. 2007 is the year of consecration, winning the "Best Underground Act" and "Best Synth-Rock Album"on Dragon Magazine (Tokyo), "Best Breakthrough" at Bologna's Rock Festival and "Best Alternative Video" for the single "Hate Shaped Box" at Imola's Rock Festival. Kubrick is actually ready to release its second work, an impressive fifteen track album of gothic synth-rock, edgy industrial, dark atmospheres and blasting synthetic/electronic music. "Lost diary of a goth girl" will show you how the band grew up and Keen's voice will bring you to an elegant and post-romantic concept of rebellion, loneliness, hope and escape. Now cyber music comes, prepare for hard drive crash.
