Gothic-electro/dark wave project KAlt moves a step forward to become part of world gothic scene. Now there are all the components for such assertion: unique sound, multifaceted concept and show performances which allow the spectator to become their real participant.
Combination of male and female vocals is not a revelation any more. But KAlt interpreted this combination in a new way, putting accent on the images of performers. It doesn’t influence sound as a whole but the perception of songs. Though this is not the main thing that makes sound of the band unique. Lyricism and avoidance of excessive hardness allows listener to feel the atmosphere of eternal being and dualism of its possible understanding. Musicians of the band believe this makes their music easier to understand, preserving at the same time its deep emotions and thoughts. In summer 2008 KAlt recorded EP “Sip The Entity”. The main purpose of this self-release was promotion and searching a label. In their work on this EP KAlt were supported by well-known German band Mechanical Moth. As a confirmation of this support their remix on one of KAlt’s songs was added on the EP. Its predecessor, demo “Cold Love” is already part of history. But songs from this demo have regularly appeared in the rotation of Infectious Unease Radio over the last year. To allow listeners to touch the essence of their music KAlt is actively looking for any opportunity to give a live show, although slow development of gothic scene in Belarus makes it rather difficult.
Performances of the band always make bright impressions. In any time any occasional spectator can find himself enrolled in a show as some character of the performance’s plot. Sip and cognize!... It sounds like invitation, like offer of “bread and circuses”, where the word “circuses” can be understood almost literally, as a combination of music and performance, and the role of “bread” plays the concept of the band. This concept brings many questions but allows anybody to choose his own answers.
Now the project is looking for a new fem.singer... as well as for a new gigs and label;)
