for thousandth time woke up with sweat running down her temple. She could admit that she was the heartless one and she maybe not as much loved people around her as she cared about them...But there also was something else.Something what kept her awake at night.Guilt.She knew she made a mistake and somebody else had to pay for it.She cursed out loud before she sat onto her bed.Her feet touched the cold stone floor as she stood up and moved across the room to the window. She lifted her curtains and looked outside. She meant to live with demons, her kind...but for now she still figuring out what she was going to do with her life.So she picked a place where she could be alone and gather her thoughts together. She went to her training regularly and was checking up with Phoenix all the time as well, but she choose to live by herself...at least for now.She sighed and removed her hand from the curtain as she turned around and looked at the room. She couldn`t hide anymore. She didn`t hide from anybody in particular but mostly from herself. As far as everybody knew, she was always some place else when Dialla was in mental pain...but that wasn`t quiet true..The whole time Dia was up there...behind the wall, in next room. She heard Dialla screaming in her sleep and it broke her heart..oh wait she didn`t have one.It looks like when Dialla made her..she forgot to give her heart. She growled deep in her throat before she moved and began to put her clothes on.This is had to be over now.She was tired of feeling guilty, she did what she thought was for the best and was not quiet her fault that everything turned out to be this way.Everybody felt sorry for Dialla and not so much for her. This is was not fair and she was going to do something about it.She pulled on her leather pants,to hell with heavy long gowns....Her leather high knee boots and corset over her long sleeved shirt. She then moved to the mirror and made sure that everything was in order as she pulled her hair back and tied it into pony tail at the back of her head. The tips of her hair reached her lower back and she could admit, she looked pretty damn good. She almost smiled at the thought but then it came to her mind of what she was about to do.She turned around from the mirror furrowing her brows together.Okay..the game plan was.She didn`t have any telepathic connection with Thaddeus whatsoever..she had no damn clue of where he could be so she needed somebody who could find him.Okay it did crossed her mind to go to somebody like Fatima or even her own mother and see if they could find him through their visions or something but she didn`t want to disturb them. There was somebody else though. The way things worked down in hell is that except the Lucifer, king and queen there also were 13 generals..those demons with high powers who were training demons...each of those 13 generals had different super powers...which was very useful if there needed help with one or another matter. So normally new demons who were in age to go train as soldiers had to pick for who they were to serve.Dia didnt pick the one yet but actually had couple generals in mind for who she possible could work, but still couldn`t pick for sure.Right now though she was going to go to see the other one.The one she wished to stay away from.Okay so down in hell you couldn`t get anything without consequences..you always had to pay for anything and Dia had no idea for what general would ask of her in exchange of giving her Thaddeus`s whereabouts but there was nothing to be done about it.She wrinkled her nose and sighed. She heard humors about the general and now she was about to find out if they were true. She closed her eyes as she teleported herself down to hell.It didn`t take for her long to find the general and it surprised her of how quickly she got an audience with him. Before she knew she was standing in a big empty room..well there was some sort of alter at the other end and some pillows? She arched her brow just in time as she heard the doors behind click as they were closed shut behind her with those two giant guards who stood outside the door.Which left her by herself in the room..she began to get an uneasy feeling and just thought that maybe it wasn`t such a good idea after all when she heard a soft chuckle and knew she wasn`t alone anymore...
"Well,well,well...The daughter of Lucifer himself, coming to see me.What a pleasant surprise.I believe there something you want from me...I wonder what it could be..."
Male`s voice was calm a low and it sounded like he tried to...mocking her? She felt as her temper fired up from within but she kept it down. She needed this...Her gaze focused on the male who now was sitting on top of pillows, with crossed legs.He was an asian, with long hair which was pulled back into pony tail..and his eyes.Yup,rumors were true...His pupils had pale blue shade and they just stared into space in front of him.The blind general.Dia took a deep breath and squared her shoulders.
"I came here because I need to find somebody. As far as I know, you are the only one person down here who can find anybody....even if they dead."
Her voice sounded steady even though for some reason she felt a little bit shaky.Okay it probably was silly to afraid of blind man but...she also heard that blind general kept his place as one only because his blindness never been a problem for him.In fact he thought of it as a gift. The male chuckled low in his throat.
"Is that so? Did you also hear that I never do anything without a price?"
He asked her slowly...she felt like he was playing games with her..In this case he was a cat,and obviously she was a mouse. She gritted her teeth together and nodded lightly even though she knew he couldn`t see her nod.
"Aye...Just name your price and its yours."
She bit her tongue after the words escaped her mouth...oh..she is so messed up now.At her words the general rose to his feet.Okay,he was taller than he looked like..Oh wait for it.He seemed to grow as he moved closer to her.His steps never made a single sound as he moved through the room.Freaky.Dia swallowed and locked her hands behind her.She never felt this nervous in her whole life before..The male stopped right in front of her and she had to lift her head to look up at him.Was he was about 7 feet tall?Or something very close to it...As his gaze fixed on her she felt that if she didn`t know better she would say that he was trying to look through her, right into her very soul...or half of it anyway.
"Hmm..Interesting.From all people you choose me.Huh? I`m honored...Now where we were?Ah! Price for my services.Let`s make this clear.I`m telling what my price would be and then you decide if you wish to go on with your wish or not.Agreed?"
He asked her cocking his head at her.Dia had to pull herself together before she finally was able to say.
"Wonderful. So here is a deal.I find for you whoever you wish to find but in exchange I want you to join my battalion.I want you to train and work with me...or in this case for me.And you would have to serve me for 200 years. That`s would be the contract price if you do not wish to agree with that, then you should just walk away right now and we both would forget this meeting ever happened."
Dia held her breath the whole time the general spoke to her..she could think of anything he could ask of her but...working for him..for 200 years...such a long time. She bit her lip. It`s not like she had anything else to do and she had to train and serve to one or another general anyway. So why not him? She heard that he was ruthless with his soldiers but they all came out very well trained. On other hand...maybe she could..she shook her thoughts away as she extended her arm towards the male.
The male said and a sly grin crossed his lips.He shook her hand and she felt a spark of power before a blank peace of paper appeared before her..with feather which had no ink.Weird.She thought just before the general spoke to her and words began to appear on the peace of paper...
"This is our agreement.A contract, you may say.It says that for next 200 years you are working for me,which means you will be train with me and would have to come to me on my call at any time and any place without hesitation. Now,sign that with you blood and we have a deal."
Dia felt chills ran down up and down her spine but she grabbed a feather and then poked her finger to draw some blood. She gave a thought for another moment and then signed the damn paper. As soon as it was down, the male grabbed the paper and rolled it down, tying it with red lace and with that it was gone...as her feather which she held in her hand.
"Now,tell me.Who you wish to find?"
He asked her slowly.
"His name is Thaddeus...would you aloud me to show you?"
She asked him politely as she extended her hand.It was easier to show him,Thaddeus through her memories than explain everything,.The male reached for her hand himself and cocked his head as she showed him the way Thaddeus looked like and who he were. After a moment or so,the general let go of her hand and in a flash he was feet away from her, sitting on his pillows.
He murmured to himself as his orbs turned all white and seemed to roll in the back of his head.It looked like he was meditating...in very creepy way but all she could do is watch and wait.It seemed to take forever till his pale blue orbs stared into space once more and he seemed to be out of trance.
"I found him."
Was the only question she had in mind and the only answer she wanted to hear. After she heard what she wished to hear and knew where to find Thaddeus, she gave quick thanks and goodbyes to the general, for now anyway, and was out of the room.Moments later she was out of hell, back on earth. And in another she teleported herself in place where she supposed to find Thaddeus....
gave him some time to come back to his senses and when he sat up she got on her knees. She titled her head lightly checking his wound out.It looked like it was completely healed but he was out of shape. She wondered when he last time ate.She brushed her hair out of her face as she stared at him when he began to ask her questions. She shook her head and after little hesitation she grabbed his hand in hers."Not dead.I saved your life."She said calmly even though she felt a little bit furious. How could he just do this? All this time poor Dialla was dealing with so much, gave him children and now she was raising them on her own hoping that he would come back one day and guess what? If she didn`t get here in time he would never come back because he would be dead...well maybe in another lifetime he would find Dialla again but that could take eons. She swallowed all her sudden furry down. She didn`t want to fight. She came to him with peace and looking at him,she knew that she did a right thing. She just wished she came for him sooner but then she didn`t know how to face him after what happened. She knew that he would never forgive her and that he probably never wished to see her again. She thought she did him a favor by not trying to find him.But she was wrong.Just now she began to realize that he wasn`t just a stranger to her and that he meant something to her.But it was too late now. Wasn`t it?She already did the damage and there was no going back...She frowned as she noticed him smiling at her.She was loss of words. She knew that when he will realize that he didn`t die because of her...well she guessed she would deal with that because right now she felt like she wanted to be slapped than witnessing this.Better physical pain than this. Her heart if she had one felt like it was breaking into tiny peaces as she was looking at him.She sighed heavily and couldn`t help but return his smile. She felt as something wet trickled down her cheeks and it took for her a moment to realize that she was crying."Yes...I actually going to lead you somewhere...warm."She said slowly as she looked around. All she could see is the mountains and a snow.Just great.Chilly wind didn`t make it feel better either. She rose to her feet and looked down at him."You can hate me later for saving your life.I have a pretty good explanation for that.So if you hoped that you are finally dead..I`m sorry I ruined it that for you.I pretty much destroyed your life and hope for second time. But with the good reason this time though. Now,love,I don`t suppose you live around here without any some kind of cabin? I don`t want you to freeze to death."She said in soft, steady voice even though she felt a little bit shaky. She didn`t know what to do.She had all kind thoughts on her mind about him and what he was doing all this time but not this.Never this. She never wished for him to feel this way.She bit her lower lip and then extended her arms towards him."Can you stand? Let me help you.Please..."She said as her emerald green orbs stared into his and she waited if he was going to accept her help or not.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever..
Thaddeus looked at her with a rather confused look before looking down at his wound. IT was indeed healed and he frowned hating that somehow he had evaded death again. He sighed rubbing the non existent scale and almost regretted not getting one to remind him of what he did. He couldn't help but feel rather chilly now that he came back from the death per say, and the mention of somewhere warm sounded nice.He noticed her tears and his smile had turned back into a frown. "You're crying." He said and crawled onto his knees. He still thought she was a figment of his imagination because lately he'd been dreaming of both Dialla and Dia, his mates. He pursed his lips for a moment and shook his head. "I'll probably try something later. After you both left pain was all I can manage to deal with for a little while. Because then I get to see you both again." He said gently reaching for her to help his stand. His body was weak and sore as he leaned against her, his scent wafting around her. "I have a cabin I made for all three of us, but I don't set foot inside." He pointed toward the cabin. After he left and came here he slept out in the wilderness fighting with the other animals for food.
wiped tears away with the back of her hand as he mentioned to her that she was crying. "Indeed I am." She whispered softly.Maybe she did have a heart after all.Sometime people did learn on their own mistakes even though she made a terrible one.Could she take all that back? Not likely.Well she was going to have life in hell,so that probably would cover all punishment she deserved.Right? Her gaze focused on him and her frown deepened as he spoke to her.Okay, now she felt awful. She felt relieved when he actually reached for her so she could help him to stand up.Okay now this made her cry again. He showed her kindness in time when he should have hated her.She gaped down a sob as she grabbed his hands and pulled him up.She narrowed her eyes as he pointed at some direction telling her that he build a cabin...for all three of them...?Her mind couldn`t wrap around the thought that he didn`t forbid her as his soulmate but that he still care... She wrapped her arms round his waist throwing one of his arms around her shoulders. She maybe was smaller than him but with her strength she didn`t feel his wight. She probably could carry him in her arms to the cabin but she didn`t think that he would allow that. She looked at him,her face just couple inches away from his now.She felt as her heart was about to jump out of her chest. No matter what she imagined before..This just was something she didn`t expect. At all. "Well,I`m here now and I would love to take a look at the cabin.Besides I wouldn`t want you to freeze to death.Dialla would never forgive me if I would let you die.Come." She murmured softly into his ear and then moved slowly, supporting him as she walked along with him. There was so much she wanted to tell him but she didn`t know where to start and besides...she wanted for him to get warm and feel better before she would tell him why she came. She came here for Dialla, not for herself but that was only because she thought that he didn`t want her no more...But did he really wished that? She pushed the thoughts on the back of her mind. Her breath was coming out as a white fog.It was freezing cold. She was surprised that he didn`t freeze to death before bleeding out.He probably would bleed out sooner if it wasn`t this cold. She really got here at perfect timing.Maybe there was such creature as a God after all. "I`m sorry." She said after a few long moments. She then looked at him and came to a halt. "I`m sorry for the pain I brought to you.I never thought that it would turn this way and I know that just sorry wont cover the damage I already have done but I just wanted you to know...That I`m truly sorry." Her eyes sparkled with tears within them and there was no doubt that she meant what she said. She then took a deep breath and then moved again till they reached the cabin. She pushed the door open and stepped inside tagging Thaddeus with her inside. It wasn`t any warmer in here either but she was going to change that. She helped him to sit on chair before she slowly let him go and went for the fireplace.Thankfully it had some wood around so she had no problem with lighting the fireplace and then she turned around and walked back to Thaddeus. "You don`t suppose have any food around here..Do you?" She asked him with slight hope within her voice but already knew the answer to that. All he needed right now is probably some hot tea and nice food but for that she would have to make a quick trip...and she didn`t wish to leave him even for a second.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever..
Thaddeus watched her for a moment seeing how lovely she was and gotten in the time they hadn't seen each other and part of him wanted to reach out and hold her and cover her in kisses. Yet, he knew she didn't want him and it was painful for him to think that he marked her as his and only his and yet she didn't want him. He sighed gently leaning against her and smiled at the thought of DIalla. "I'll be preserved enough to be added to a collection." He managed a soft chuckle, but knew it wasn't the time to joke around about such things. He looked at her now that he was so close to her and wondered if she still didn't want him. Still he couldn't help the urge to just hid her face in her neck and take a long drawing breath of her scent. When they stopped he tilted his head at her apology. Before she started to move again Thaddeus pulled her into a hug and held her tightly. He rested his head against hers and took a soft breath. "Sh, my punishment is not because of what happen, but because I am not a suitable mate for both of you. I turned Dialla away and you when you rebelled. I couldn't keep Dialla safe and I couldn't keep you pleased to stay with me. My punishment is pain and death." He pulled away and wiped at her tears. "Without you or Dialla there is no life in this world." He said and kissed her forehead. He let her go once they managed to move into the cabin and he sighed deeply once he sat on the chair. "No food, I've been living in the forest and killing what I could find." He closed his eyes and brought a blanket from the back of the chair and wrapped it around his waist. His pants were soaked from blood and ice and there was no use in wearing them. Wrapping the blanket tightly he wiggled out of them and kicked them off before relaxing. "We'll be fine... I'm not an a savage man. There should be some back up food in the basement."
still couldn`t put her mind around what Thaddeus told after she apologized to him.He was wrong. She didn`t feel like argue with him out there in a cold but now when they were inside, she had some explaining to do for him.She wanted him to know how she felt and why she did what she did. That was the reason she down came here in the first place.Talk.She rubbed her arms chasing the chills away and then glanced back at the fireplace. It was getting warm but it was going to take another few minutes till it was going to be warm enough for her.Her gaze returned to Thaddeus as she asked him if he had any supper around this place. Her mouth opened and then shut as he wrapped a blanket around himself and then kicked off his pants.Did that left him...naked under that blanket? The thought made her blush softly and she reached for her wrist instinctively. Her fingers found the bracelet around her tiny wrist and she just played with it absently. The bracelet was the one Thaddeus once gave her,he also gave another to Dialla.Once she wore it,she never took it off.Maybe she was sentimental in some ways but that something she kept.Besides she really liked it.She lifted her perfect shaped eyebrow at him as he told her that there supposed to be some food in basement. She knew that she had to say something but all she could do is just stare at him.He made her feel...nervous and almost shy. No,if somebody told her that she would feel this way couple days ago,she would laugh in their face as she was confident and could go through the stone walls if needed.Shy? What`s that? But this man seemed to have very odd effect on her.Okaaay...she really had to stop stare at him now.She shook her head lightly, shaking her thoughts away."Right...Which way the basement?"She asked him and gave him a small smile after he pointed the way.She looked at him warily and her gaze ran around the place."Dont move.I will be back in flash."She said to him before she moved towards the basement door. She pushed it open and glanced back at Thaddeus like she was afraid that he would suddenly ran away and after a moment she stepped inside the basement. The door clicked softly as it closed shut behind her leaving her in complete darkness...Great.She sighed and then opened her palm.A small flame rose from her palm and she took a look around. It took just couple minutes for her to figure out what was what and find what she needed. She then hurried out of the basement, with her hands full of supplies. She had worried look over her face as she came out from the basement door but as soon as her gaze found Thaddeus, a relive washed over her features."Well...I found everything I need.Lucky you."She said as she moved to the table. She slowly dropped everything on the top of surface and them grabbed some tea.The thing about her powers was that she didn`t have to wait to boil water to make a tea.She could do that in one click of her fingers.Literally.So in no time she grabbed two mugs and handled one to Thaddeus."Here...That should make you feel like new."Small smile crossed her lips and then she pulled out another chair and sat down. She took a sip of tea from her mug.It was actually pretty good, but that was only because once she watched Dialla making it.She sighed and then her gaze met Thaddeus`s."I know I didn`t say anything before but you are wrong. You didn`t fail anyone.Whatever happen is my fault. Not yours.I know that Dialla might made a mistake when she separated me from herself but whatever happened after that is on me.You are a worth male and anyone should be happy to have you as a mate."Even such a failure as myself. She almost added but bit those last words back. For the first time in her life, Dia felt overwhelmed with the feelings boiling inside of her. There was more she wanted to tell him...so much more but she wanted to give him a minute before she would continue.
