Also, last night I had another Supernatural based dream.
I was Sam, and Gabe was Dean.
Gabe was getting it on with Cas between monsters,
And I was getting it on with our own Danika.
Okay, so, we know there's been a slug sliming it's way around our house for the last week, and we were determined to find it.
We set down traps of lettuce and salt to catch it, but to no avail.
There's been fresh slime trails all around the downstairs this entire week, and we just for the life of us couldn't figure out where it could be hiding.
Gabe just happens to look down at the dining room wall, and there it is.
The smallest little bastard slug ever.
Pissed bear is pissed.
Got a call from my manager at ten past eight this morning with her telling me the guy that does the day shift rang in sick and asking if I could cover.
First off, why wasn't it until ten minutes into his shift that I got a phone call? That's just bad managerial skills if you ask me.
So I've gotta go in and cover his shift. If she expects me to do the full four hours it'll mean that I won't be able to come home for lunch, and I have no money to buy any lunch. I'd pass out come five o'clock.
Not only that, but he was supposed to be covering the night shift tonight as well, so I'm probably gonna end up on my own again.
My manager said she'd ring round and try to get cover, but she couldn't care less so I'm not holding my breath.
I don't really think he's ill. I think he had one toke too many last night and he couldn't be bothered coming into work today.
One toke too many isn't an excuse. I have one toke too many most nights, and I'm always up for a two hour commute for work in the morning, PLUS I DON'T GET PAID! Ah, the joys of voluntary work...
As some of you know I work to help raise money for two charities, the American Cancer Society and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
I am curious as to which one you think is a more worthy cause. I fundraise for both so I obviously think they both are worthy, but I am curious of your opinion.

The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life is only two weeks away from this Friday, whereas the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness Walk is October 5th. I would love it if you could make donations to both as they both are dear to my heart. Thank you all for taking the time to read this.

I would say the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Mental illnesses and people who suffer from them often suffer alone and in silence because mental health services receive a lot less funding than physical health services. There is also a lot less awareness for groups that help people who suffer from mental illness compared to other health issues. I generally prefer to support charities that are less well known and that make up for the gaps forced into society by governments budgets. But of course both are worthy causes and deserve support and funding, that is just how I personally evaluate what groups to get involved in or support.
I'm gonna change my name this year.
I'm gonna tell everybody this year.
I'm gonna restart counselling this year.
I'm gonna buy a new binder, or two, this year. I will start hormones this year.
People have started calling me Danika. Two friends of mine have even told me they prefer that name, instead of Kami. Its a great feeling when people call you by a name you prefer and feel good with. Can't wait to learn the new name! And so happy you are going to make all of this happen! Totally cheering you on from across the pond. Keep your head up and I am here if you ever need me.
