I applaud the UK for embracing gender diversity. However, I wasn't aware that Mx. was officially adopted by the transgender community.
I think the honourific "Mixter" is too phonologically analogous to "Mister" and "Mix" to make it a viable option for gender neutrality. It's unfortunate the existing terms have almost no orthographic correlation with their abbreviations. Perhaps if we moved beyond marital status (which is sexist anyway) then that could free up two of the existing honourifics for gender neutral use.
As it stands, Mrs. should be associated with "Mistress" (as historically this title did not disclose marital status), whereas Ms. seems more appropriate for "Miss". By eliminating the superfluous "Miz" altogether, the existing honourifics could remain appropriately distinguished for all the necessary, formal purposes.
Mr.
Mister (honourific for a man, regardless of marital status)
Mrs.
Mistress (honourific for a woman, regardless of marital status)
Ms.
Miss (honourific for an adult or emancipated minor of any gender)
Sometimes labels come in handy, but a handful I do not associate with. I'm basically uncomfortable being called a drag queen, a tranny, a trap, a crossdresser, a transvestite, a man, a woman, a lady, or sir/madam. Personally I self-identify as a boi. But I'll gladly settle for just boy or girl.
Of course, My Little Pony likes being called cute, but that's okay too! Hehe
I admit, I can't figure out why my photos keep being deleted (like this one on the left). If it's because they are inappropriate then I wonder why portraits of females almost fully nude and in provocative poses are not deleted.
there's some pretty effeminate dudes hangin' around on this site and their pics are intact soGood point, I agree. But to put everything in perspective, how many of those effeminate guys are in tiny thongs and bikinis with their butt cheeks hanging out or close up shots of their crotch? I'm pretty certain those photos aren't anywhere to be found. But they are in abundance on female profiles, many of which make it into the top rated listings. That just strikes me as very odd. I look at the top rated guys and I don't see them in thongs and stockings and panties showing off their body in the same way. Perhaps I should upload a photo of me dressed like the girl in this portrait and see what happens. I admit, I'm curious.
Alright, I uploaded an artistic portrait of me in a bikini, kind of like I see girls doing but not quite as risque (what can I say, I save my birthday suit for the bedroom not online). Now to see if it remains or is deleted. Then I will have my answer.
Nah... you don't get paid for doing that shit, which is probably why they have no motivation to actually do their damn jobs properly without picking on people like you
I really wish that people would avoid the word "transgendered"; it is a misnomer. The correct adjectival syntax is transgender. The same holds true for bigender and agender. It would be analogous to someone saying "That flower is yellowed" when they mean to say "That flower is yellow". The participial adjective construction "-ed" has an entirely different meaning implying an impure or less than genuine quality. Constructing an adjective from an adjective is also redundant.
