What better way to spend your life than stockpiling weapons and booby trapping your home? there is a 9/11 commemorative coin. It has the twin towers and marines and a helicopter on it. It comes with a certificate of authenticity (obviously) What an historic trinket for your trinket shelf. What a piece of gold. I bet I could melt that piece of gold down and make love out of it.
Full House is the most disturbing television show ever. I'm just sitting here smoking a blunt, flipping back and forth between a police interview with Jodi Arias and Full House... I don't know.. I'm still in awe of the finality of choices we make in life. I feel sorry for Jodi Arias. Her whole life and identity seem to have been an illusion up until now. Hearing her crying in the interrogation room is like the pleas of a child. I wish she could be given a second chance. I haven't followed the case very closely, but the guy she killed seems like a piece of shit anyway. I think some people have a much greater capacity for suffering and mental anguish.. Obviously. (not necessarily talking about Jodi Arias) I used to watch Full House after school, before The Simpsons came on. Just something to pass the last half hour before The Simpsons came on. This kind of TV is extinct. It's so horribly innocent. It's terrifying. I don't remember thinking it was so odd as a kid. I heard Stephanie became a meth addict. I can't imagine what it must be like to be one of the Olson twins. Their lives must have seemed like an illusion. I can't imagine a world without child actors, but I don't think it's right to be eliciting these kinds of emotional responses etc from a brand new person.

I've found that a lot of people can be embarrassed, shamed, or frightened into agreeing with you. We're warring over the most malleable minds, and they seem to err on the side of fear and paranoia. Ideas are spreading like wildfire, but few of them seem to be solution based. We all want to change the world, but we're unable to see it for the hive mind it is. We've created an organism outside of ourselves that can't be manipulated for the greater good. I'll gladly spend my life running from the world's problems.
Gun people are just absolutely retarded. Don't get me wrong, I'm not for doing away with gun ownership, but there's no denying that stricter regulations would save lives. Unfortunately several people I know are full-on guntarded, and in favor of things like arming teachers... There's just no way this makes sense. I think if we were to arm teachers, then the sheer number of guns in their possession would make accidental shootings a bigger threat than the relatively rare occurrence of a mass shooting. I've not heard the specifics on this idea (somehow I doubt many in favor put much thought into it) but the presence of thousands of guns in a setting where there are normally none would almost certainly lead to more people being shot. Also there is the matter of mass shooters not being all that concerned with the preservation of their own lives, so I'm not sure why the possibility of being shot would deter them. If a crazy person has it in their mind to kill as many people as possible then they are likely going to take these things into account. One psycho with a high powered rifle and a plan could slaughter a ton of armed students and teachers alike. A shooter firing from a safe vantage point on a bunch of armed scared people will probably cause them to fire at each other, as they'll all look like the shooter when they pull their guns out. The potential for disaster is just too great.
I can't ignore my observation of gun nuts just appearing to be less intelligent on average than those in favor of stricter regulations. I see these semi-literate people I am friends with talking about "I guess we have to ban pressure cookers now, since they can be made into bombs". There are endless seemingly innocuous things that can be made into a bomb, but a gun is made for the purpose of killing. A pressure cooker is made for cooking. A lot of people I know own multiple guns, and are acquiring more and more. It seems like it's only a matter of time before I'll hear about one of their kids being shot, or one of them committing suicide because they were in a desperate spot and their gun was lying there. Because they're retarded. I know a guy who owns an ar-15 who managed to shoot his finger with a BB gun recently. He's a severe alcoholic. I KNOW it was a result of his intoxication.
Idiots have kind of ruined guns for me. And when we have things happening like parents leaving 5 and 2 year olds alone with a loaded CHILDREN'S RIFLE, but LAWN DARTS are too dangerous, then I think something is a bit off. Oh and the 5 year old shot and killed his 2 year old sister if you hadn't heard. That was 2 days ago.
People just love to freak out. I'm gonna have to agree with Loathing, if someone was really adamant to shoot someone, it's not like they would use legal methods to get the gun. Unless they were REALLY methodical. There are other ways. You just have to be crazy and determined enough to do it.Responsibility is the key word. But who's responsibility is it? The guy who bought the AR-15 for his collection? Or the AR-15?M4arkW I did not hear about it. Link?
The Virginia Tech shooter acquired his guns legally. You talk about freaking out, but I'm talking about people who want to PUT guns in schools. Seems like they're the ones freaking out. And it's called google. Type in "5 year old shoots 2 year old" and I guarantee you will find the story no problem.
