Asylum Hair Dye Update:
We’ve been making great progress, even though it is a bit slower than we had hoped. Once we got all the formulas perfected we hit a couple delays with the product stability / shelf-life testing, and we also had to unexpectedly switch manufacturers since the other facility changed their terms and required a higher minimum order.
Good news is that the hair dye production is in progress. We are now looking at a late October / Halloween release date. A fitting time of year for us indeed. We also currently have the packaging and label printing due to be done soon. For anyone that ordered tshirts / hoodies, these are also underway! Really sorry for the delay guys! We are doing the best we can, and you can rest assured that we will deliver the product, even if we have had some delays.
VampireFreaks has been around for almost 15 years, we’re not going anywhere and we will make sure we deliver! =) For now, check out our awesome label design, courtesy of Mike Saga!
Each label will feature our logo and artwork on a clear squeezable vertical tube, making it easy to apply and so that you can see the hair dye color showing through.
In the meantime we’ve also been doing lots of testing on the hair dye formulas and coming up with some new colors for the second batch of colors, we’ll keep you posted!

Don’t miss one of Green-Wood’s most popular events! Once again we’re opening many of our most famous and elaborate mausoleums for public perusal. This special look into Green-Wood’s distinct architecture includes the grand mausoleum of piano maker Henry Engelhard Steinway, the rather unusual tomb of the ultra-wealthy Stephen Whitney, as well as the thirty-room Catacombs.
A new route will be offered each day, and guides and actors in period costume will offer a glimpse into the lives of the people who now rest in these opulent structures. Trolley will provide “Hop on, hop off” service between 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on both days.
There is a band called Tycho, who I love very very much. I am seeing live on Wednesday. This will be an emotional thing, as they hold a special place in my heart and memories.
This is because I had them playing all evening the night I had to let my baby boy go, my kitty Salem.
It was such a hard evening for me, having him pass away in my arms. 17 yrs of constant companionship. I knew I had to have something playing that held memories for me and him.
They have been one of my favorite bands for the past 3 yrs or so. I had them on constant rotation when we moved into this apartment. They were our "soundtrack"
This was the band I discovered on, of all places Adult Swim. I heard the beginning riff of a song called "Hours" and I was hooked. One of the most beautiful instrumental bands I have ever heard. Obviusly their music isn't for everyone, but it gives me chills. Their album Dive is my fave.
When I see them, it's going to be pretty emotional for me, but I also know it will be a release. I hear the music and i picture my little boy beside me.
But now I listen to their new album around my two little girls, Nutmeg and Cinnamon. And I know that will add even more wonderful memories for the future
It's rough. I lost my Stinky a few years ago some months before my mother followed. I moped around for a good week afterwards. He was always at my side.
It sounds like you're going to have a good time that you need though!
