A little more about the series...
Shakespeare has always been one of my biggest artistic influences, with the story and relationships of Hamlet fascinating me above all others. In this series I wanted to look at the individual events and how each scene affects the characters of the plays. There is a total of eight photographs within the series telling the story of Hamlet, however each individual photograph tells it's own story and different combinations can be created to show the interlinking story lines within the play. I wanted to show how each characters choices within the play leads to the final tragedy, but also the beauty of each character's human flaws.
Photographs originally taken on 35mm film, before being printed at 5x7 in the darkroom and then scanned into the computer to be printed digitally - only editing to remove any dust spots! This gives each print a really soft feel, yet a hard edge suitable of the play. Incredibly detailed with the film grain subtly showing through and enhancing the final prints. A beautiful photograph in any home or building!
Prints available to order at £95 for individual photographs or a reduced price of £225 for all three photographs from the series. Each print will be signed, dated and numbered with a maximum of 100 being sold. All prints will be A2 (594 x 420 mm) in size and printed on fine art matte paper for maximum quality.
Price includes postage (royal mail first class recorded delivery) for UK customers, there is an added charge of £15 for overseas customers.
