What the fuck ever.
This is bullshit, Jet. I see now why you deleted over 5000 of our fans. It was a game of favorites. You like Combichrist and 00tz 00tz. We all get it. But to do that to all of the bands that have been paying for premium membership (some for five fucking years like us) and working hard to build a fanbase? That was REALLY fucking low. You wasted five years of my life with your site. We were the #1 gothic band on this site for the last three years, and #5 of all the bands on here (out of thousands).
Now, we're #7. Right behind your faves. Imagine that. It took me almost two years to pass Jesus on Extasy, but those two bands both breezed right by them, then us, last night. A month ago, we had just over 13,000 fans. We now have fewer than we had four years ago. Thanks a lot, man. Don't you think that you owe us at least something? You said you were deleting inactive users. If that's the case, and you were deleting people who hadn't logged in for over a year (like last year when you deleted 1000 of our fans) then why can I find hundreds, if not thousands, of profiles that haven't logged in for three years?
Dude, I even helped your admin staff to catch hundreds of profiles created by mass spammers on here. Yeah, so what, but I could have made better use of my time.
Resetting ratings is one thing, what you've done here is entirely another.
You deleted four years' of our work inviting, and $80 worth of premium. Not only that, you're selling our music on your site, and we have no way to remove it or even edit what's there. I messaged you three weeks ago, and you haven't even bothered to reply. We haven't received one cent for our music in three years (or however long it's been since you created user music stores), though people have sworn they've bought it here. What the fuck? If nothing happens, I'll be contacting my attorney. As you know, that's quite illegal, and I'm quite pissed.
To anyone reading this, please prop it so that it might come to the webmaster's attention.
Termination. Synth-Tec may terminate your membership, delete your profile and any content or information that you have posted on vampirefreaks.com and/or prohibit you from using or accessing vampirefreaks.com for any reason, or no reason, at any time in its sole discretion, with or without notice.
^ when you signed up for this site you agree to the terms of service brah!!! cry me a river.............
"^ when you signed up for this site you agree to the terms of service brah!!! cry me a river............."
Propped your own comment? For a lame cliche? Fail. Trying hard to be a good VF sycophant? Someone ought to cry you a river. This is a paid service. Check the law... My content is posted here and I can't remove it. A contract works two ways. We paid for a service that isn't serving shit.
To everyone else, thank you for your support. We love you all and we really didn't want it to come to this.
Bryce I hear you but I also understand why DeadSocial is upset too. I still have to support Deadsocial. It can be really gruesome trying to get your stuff out there when your not backed by corporate industry. Even then It will cost a ton of money to get anywhere.
All I can say is: always read the rules, your still getting a service for minimal fee and for dog's sake Take it as a challenge and win Back your spot!
when it comes to content of this site Jet and Synth-Tec admin have the upper hand it says so in the TOS you are not going to win this fight. also just FYI on most sites premium membership is non refundable and there is usually a disclaimer. they also have the right without warning to revoke your membership, ban you without notice. so whining about removal of content and membership is not going to help you.
you keep 70% of all sales meaning you should be getting $2.09 per your album listed. if this is not the case and people are ACTUALLY buying these albums you have a genuine case. if not it just seems like abunch of useless whining to me.
And you don't think that as an admin you should maybe be just a bit more respectful?
I'm a premium member and have been for a while. I pay because I like it here.
But man, you're one condescending bro.
Eureka, this sounds like something you fuckers would do.
Everybody knows the VF popularity game is a rigged contest.
You won't get anywhere on VF without a set of tits or an overly cynical mindset.
And god forbid you're a butt rave hating trad goth!
Now I'll admit, I'm not a fan of this guys work as I haven't fully checked it out yet. I've received several invites over the years and I know this guy took a lot of time out of his day to make sure his daily thousand band invites were sent.
And for someone to drop a big dent in his fanbase is suspicious to me because it makes things seem like Jet is trying to shuffle around the top bands to his favor.
And ANYONE who is in support of this kind of moderating needs to be chocked to death and injected with cyanide.
I mean I wouldn't be surprised if Jet or one of the admins deleted 5000 people from this guys fan page.
You guys have in the past shared private e-mails from users inbox amongst each other and have also in the past reset peoples ratings without them asking you to.
Dark-Freaks is someone who enjoys seeing people get pissed off and mistreated around here. He is someone enjoys watching the corrupt politicing of the synth tec administration. He is obviously quite a fan of watching this go down and will continue to support it as long as he gets peer approval for doing so. His intent as a vampirefreaks user is quite clear and I will be ignoring anything he says.
Now, back to the main topic.
The recent actions of an admin whom you all know of, has caused quite a bit of controversy with a few trolls on this website whom I'm sure you know of. Their complaints are pretty legit.
But this on the other hand is a blatant effort to lower this band pages rankings on top bands. And its fucking rude. And it shouldn't be supported what so ever.
I know you downrated+ blocked + sent perverse things to my page and I'm sure referring to something about this journal entry by deadsocial. I think you are misdirecting your anger. I have nothing to do with this, I just figured I'd post in the journals for the first time. Your actually giving me a lot of credit for something totally out of my hands.
Anyways I hope your day isn't ruined by that sad band stuff. I feel for deadsocial. I can't imagine how hard they worked for that.
It seems a lot of downrating is happening in cults/bands lately.
anyways Chin up son. Don't ruin a perfectly good Saturday over spilt milk.
I think Matt brings up a good point as he is one of the very few admins on this social network with the ability to make reasonable judgements on every case reported to him.
Even when it hasn't played out in my favor, I think he usually knows whats best.
I am sure deleting inactive members might have caused your fanbase to go down considering the fact that all users disappear when they delete their account (though strange enough their information is still stored in the server for a small period of time and should you re-create your profile, you can cause a glitch in where you can re-join cults and it will show up as double in your cults list)
You said you were deleting inactive users. If that's the case, and you were deleting people who hadn't logged in for over a year (like last year when you deleted 1000 of our fans) then why can I find hundreds, if not thousands, of profiles that haven't logged in for three years?
I can vouch for this. If you do a search on my hometown, you will find people who haven't logged in for a lot longer than that.
Its hard to believe somebody who isn't there to over see everything at once and puts people into administration who delete reports made to admin if it means they will be exposed for doing shady things (IE Deadbettie).
Anybody read the top journal lately?
The guy who wrote it is in my opinion, a real jackass but it raises a good point.
The deletion of inactive profiles is on-going. This does not include premium / VIP profiles, and band profiles.
You can cry favouritism all you like, I assure you it is not that way at all. You're still ahead of bands like Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, and HIM. I don't understand why you're making such a big deal about this.
