VF Security Updates! Did a few new security updates to keep your accounts and data more secure.
Note - passwords are now case-sensitive. A few people reported having problems logging in, so make sure you are using the same capitalization that you set your password with.
If you had issues signing in through 'facebook connect' the past couple days, it should be fixed now.
If you are still having problems logging in, try the password recovery page, and if that doesn't help, contact the VF Support Team and we will help you out!
Security Reminders:
Keep your password safe, don't use single-word passwords (use numbers and letters) and don't give it out to your friends!
Only login to your account directly on vampirefreaks!
Don't click on suspicious links!
If someone contacts you on msn / skype / email / etc claiming to be a VF Admin, they are lying!
Seriously, it's sad how many people will believe random strangers pretending to be VF Admins.
VF Admins will never contact you through any way except directly through VF!
Yeah I know there's atleast one person pretending to be me on skype and trying to get girls to take off their clothes on webcam. The sad thing is it looks like some people fall for it, as I get messages from users who are like 'was that you on skype?'
Anyway, not that it really matters but someone should update this:
"can i change my username?
no, if you want a different username then you have to delete your account and remake it under a new name. "
Now you can with 25000 Vf points.
Bahahaha people are so dumb. And yeah scarlette_moon was having trouble logging into her account. I just linked her to this journal so hopefully she can get back onto her account now >.>
So this update, it wouldn't be the reason why I'm suddenly having issues deleting one of my cults, would it?! Early this morning (around 5 AM) I kept receiving the message "error wrong password" or some message similar to that. Even though I know I was entering the correct password. I logged in and out of VF four times early this morning just to confirm my password was indeed correct.
I also suggest reading some tips on passwords from The Geek Stuff and installing LastPass.
In short: Don't use any names, birthdays or any common information or words and make them long with a mix of upper and lower case letters and numbers and use a couple symbols everywhere that allows it.
Tip: Take a letter (not the first) of some things and put them together almost like a sentence.

Xbox controller 360 game, pie mine @ 1:00 lol It looks totally random but it makes sense in my head.
i couldn't delete my cults all day yesterday. my password was exactly the way it was meant to be and it was still telling me my password was wrong but it's all good now. deleted the cults that i needed to.
