Hey guys, I know that I keep saying I'm gonna be around more and then subsequently am not and I apologise for that, just thought I'd give you a heads up that I may not be around for a while. Things at home are...well hell to be perfectly honest.
My 2 year old Neice Keira got rushed into hospital on Thursday because she couldn't breath properly, they say that she has a severe case of bacterial pneumonia, her lungs are basically completely full of fluid. Her parents, my sister-in-law Chloe and brother Rich, have been taking her to the doctors for weeks because her breathing has been bad and she was coughing all the time and each time the doctors told them that her chest was fine. Well obviously it isn't. She's on oxygen 24/7, she can't breath without it. She's also on 2 types of nebuliser every 30mins and is so pumped full of drugs that she literally just lies there shaking. It's horrible, and they say it may be 4-5 weeks before she's out and better, if not longer.
Just to make things that little bit worse, my nan got rushed into hospital this week too. We knew before this that she was bad, she's in the last stage of kidney failure. They think that she has had another stroke, she was already paralyzed down one side and now she can barely move the other. While doing an x-ray they found a mass in her lungs. She's got lung cancer. Because she's so bad they've just sent her back to her care home with pain killers because that was what she requested and basically now all we can do is wait for her to go. They don't think she'll make it to the end of the month.
They say that when it doesn't rain it pours and that's certainly what's happening here. I've seen this before, I know what happens when cancer slowly eats away at you, it a way I'm kind of glad that her kidneys are giving in and that she won't have to suffer through the pain of the mass spreading and growing, she's fought so hard for so long, it's heartbreaking enough as it is without thinking about what it would be like if she had to struggle through that too.
I will be back at some point, after all of this has played out and after I come back from Africa most likely. Until then, take care everyone, you all know where I am if you need me. xxx

Why am I not surprised that even on my 21st birthday, everything is still about my fucking sister. Heaven forbid that we have one day where everything isn't about her for once. I can't even open my cards and listen to my neice and nephew sing me happy birthday without her going off on one about how depressed and ill that she feels. I'm not even allowed one day or at least a few hours where she isn't the centre of attention for once.....and my family wonders why I hate my fucking birthday, it's because there's no point in me even having one, it's absolutely no different from any other day. Everything still has to be about my sister and if it isn't for even a second then she throws a fit.
I don't want to sound selfish or like a child, it just annoys me.
Am back! =] Went out last night for my mates 18th, it was a fairly pointless night though, went out for a meal and was planning on going out for drinks after but everyone went home at 8:30pm. Got back at around 9:30pm and ended up just sitting there watching Hot Fuzz. I'm glad that I was there to celebrate my friends birthday but it felt like a kind of a waste. Oh well
