CD Packaging: KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid)

I hate gimmickry in disc packaging. CDs that are stored inside their jewel cases so that they're a pain in the ass to get in and out and you tear the paper sleeves they go in just doing that; jewel cases filled with loose paperwork like stacks of photos (Pearl Jam was particularly bad about this, but I've seen Chthonic do it, too); labeling that's hard to read, or in this case, impossible to read: My CD of Ultima Thulee by Blut aus Nord came yesterday. The track list on the back of the jewel case is real fine dark gray fancy script that just barely contrasts with the black background, just enough so you can tell there's writing there but not enough so you can fucking read it. After about five minutes of fruitlessly trying to decipher this shit, and discovering that there was no legible track list in the paperwork (no writing of any kind except for the band name and album title, in fact), I gave up and went to Amazon.com so I could see what the titles of the songs on the fucking album were.
