Sorry to vf friends...: Please read July 20, 2009, 10:12:pm
I have been out of commission for a while. I was in Greece for an excavation for a month, then after I returned I have been absolutely stunted with the amount of work I've had to do. I'm both a Don and one of the Directors for Orientation / Frosh week, which means I have a lot of planning to do. Then the other week I was yet again in an accident with a deer, totaled my car, I have had to deal with insurance and somehow get a rental. Blargh, then on top of all of this I have had roommate and other huge personal issues to deal with. I'm really sorry I'm not here to chat and keep active in the cults.
Props: 3

Final projects March 25, 2009, 08:01:pm
So I've finally decided what to do for my final projects to make them more interesting.
Thus far I've done Women in Egypt (because it was the only decent topic, not because I'm a feminist). The second one I started working on is Hacker culture as a religion. Which is beyond interesting. For Ancient Philosophy I'm doing an Essay on Plato and the Universe. But I couldn't figure out what to do with my Jung class. Figuring out what topic I should do was driving me nuts.

After remembering reading something about Joseph Campbell and Star Wars Archetypes I've decided to do "Luke Skywalker and the Battle with his Shadow," brilliantly entertaining.

Thought about just packing up and leaving everything from your current life behind and starting completely anew, without any family or friends from before? It seems like a pretty bright option at the moment.
