I never thought I'd be this way. I never could have imagined going down these roads. I am glad I took the path less traveled by even when there isn't one at all. None could say they lived my life though many have been close. I am different. I am unique. There will never be someone just like me.I will stand out even when I stand alone. That is my destiny for maybe someday more will stand with me in their own different way.

essay April 08, 2012, 02:24:am
Every 12 seconds someone dies in the U.S. We all have our good and bad days. that doesnt mean we shoud let life pass us by. we may not get a tomorrow so live life to the fullest. My life has been change for the better because of negative things that have happened to me. A week before school started i went to see my great aunt in chicago. she has shown me many things about life. We were at dinner celebrating her and her husbands 60th anniversary. my mind was racing when i went to chat with her bcause it was more than likely that this was the last time i would see her. This night ended up being the last time i had talked to my great aunt before she passed. She sat smiling in the corner talking to people and when she saw my face she lit up. She was so full of life and closer to death then anyone i know. Spending that time with my great aunt had made me realize that so many people take advantage of life. even though she was on the brink of death, she still but everyone else before her. she has also shown me that with a sense of humor about life, even the worst days are easier to get through.
i hope this helps someone to see that there is more to life then just sitting around and barely getting by.

Broken January 31, 2012, 03:44:pm
He was just a little boy from a broken home, she was daddy's little princess but she always felt alone. No one ever expected them to meet. They were from two different worlds so far apart, the two extremes but when she laid her pretty green eyes on him, he knocked her off her feet. He never thought he'd feel something quite like this, better than what he hoped and clearer than the dreams. For someone to save him from those silent screams.
no one saw just how ruff his home life was. He hid it so damn well, got up extra early to clean up all the shells. Pieces scattered every where they were oh so hard to find, but he did it anyways to make sure there was no evidence that he left behind. Daddy had been drinking last night he remembered it perfectly, hiding his little sister from what he had to see. He made sure she would never know, how daddy hit mommy and him with all those hard blows. he took all of her beatings with a smile on his face knowing that he would get her out of here, to a safer place.  One day soon he would leave this broken night, but until that day was here he would have to fight. No matter what he had to go through he would do it to hide the nightmare from his sister, he picked her up from drawing on the floor her hand scrunched around a light pink crayon. he carried her up to her bed tucked her in and made sure she was cozy and kissed her. Dad was out late, he knew when he heard his dad throwing that plate. Mommy cowering in the corner, blood dripping from her head to the floor where a puddle was forming and creeping across the tile to the door, he had to do this he had to stand up for his baby sister upstairs and for her. Seeing mommy so hurt tore him up, and he learned to except nothing can go back not even a spilled cup. So he kept waiting and waiting for that day to come, the day where he would be free. A day without a worry, a day without crying, a day with peace.
Up in her castle she lay awake, thinking of the life she would make. When the day came for her to leave, she knew how her parents would feel, they'd scream when the found out, cry and pout and then maybe grieve. She had thought about this plan ever since she was a little girl, but she had grown so much since then and now her plans were just waiting to unfurl. Her hair was  all tidy kept up with a little bow, her dress was unwrinkled, so clean and white it started to glow. She came down for dinner with a grin from ear to ear, knowing that tonight would be the night she would disappear. Waiting for her parents to drift into sleep, she grabbed her bag of things and waited patiently with out a peep. She silently slide her window up and climbed out and tiptoed across the roof, down the side of the house and disappeared into the dark without any proof. She ran as fast as she could to the boy with the broken smile, hoping he would still be there. She ran and ran and ran some more, until she saw him on the porch. His body a mess his face a wreck, there was blood trickling down his neck. His hand was black and blue, from fighting his dad that afternoon. He told his mom and sister to run, to go far away and this could be done. Far from his father so cruel and mean, To get away and hopefully get clean. They could start again, a clean slate.
She ran up those steps as fast as she could, and sat right besides him as he shivered and shook. She could never imagine what he had been through. So she sat and waited for him to speak.

terrible things January 22, 2012, 11:45:pm
By the time I was your age, I'd give anything
To fall in love truly, was all I could think
That's when I met your mother, the girl of my dreams
The most beautiful woman, that I'd ever seen

She said, "Boy can I tell you a wonderful thing?
I can't help but notice, you're staring at me.
I know I shouldn't say this, but I really believe
I can tell by your eyes that you're in love with me"

Now son, I'm only telling you this...
Because life, can do terrible things

Now most of the time, we'd had too much to drink
And we'd laugh at the stars and we'd share everything
Too young to notice, and too dumb to care
Love was a story, that couldn't compare

I said, "Girl, can I tell you a wonderful thing?
I made you a present with paper and string.
Open with care now, I'm asking you, please.
You know that I love you, will you marry me?"

Now son, I'm only telling you this...
Because life, can do terrible things
You'll learn, one day, I'll hope and I'll pray
That God, shows you differently

She said, "Boy can I tell you, a terrible thing?
It seems that I'm sick and I've only got weeks.
Please, don't be sad now, I really believe
You were the greatest thing that ever happened to me"

Slow, so slow
I fell to the ground, on my knees

So don't fall in love, there's just too much to lose
If given the choice, then, I'm begging you, choose
To walk away, walk away, don't let her get you.
I can't bear to see the same happen to you.

Now son, I'm only telling you this...
...Because life, can do terrible things

kitty December 12, 2011, 01:58:am
“kitty!”, Alice yells out as she runs to her older sister. Her hair tied up in black ribbons scattered everywhere and her white as snow dress tinted brown from playing in the cemetery, she giggles as bounced up and down. Her eyes filled with happiness she can’t hide. Her older sister picks her up and an amazing bright smile flashes across her face as far as it can go. “I missed you!” Alice whispers like a secret in to Kitty’s ear. “I know, dear sister I’ve missed you too.” Kitty whispers back as she carries her down the long hall to the magnificent marble kitchen. “You hungry?” Kitty says as she places Alice in her gem covered red velvet lined chair. “Mhmm” Alice replies as she fiddles with something in her pocket. Her little eyes gleaming with excitement, she looks up at her older sister and can’t help but smile. Her baby teeth like little white pearls strung on a necklace. Kitty walks towards the fridge to find something her little sister can manage. Certainly not the potion yet… Kitty thinks as she pulls out some homemade jelly and peanut butter the maid brought over while Alice was out. Then turns to the cabinet and pulls out a porcelain plate. Kitty starts making the sandwich while Alice picks up the book Kitty had been reading. “What’s this about?” Alice says holding the book upside down. Kitty laughs a little and says it’s a romance book. “Ickk!” Alice screams as she tosses the book on the table. “Maybe this will teach you not to play with my books.” Kitty replied as she placed the plate and a glass of milk on the shimmering marble table. Alice looks at the plate of food like a lion looking at its prey just before it’s about to pounce. Within a second Alice devours the sandwich and leaves nothing but a crumb left, and then continues to gulp all the milk down until there is nothing left. “All done!” Alice says with content and sleepiness in her eyes. Kitty picks her up and carries Alice to her huge bedroom filled with trinkets and jewels the walls painted a dark red. Kitty gently places Alice in her bed and tucks her in. “Can you tell me a bedtime story?” Alice whispers as Kitty kisses her forehead. “Sure what kind of story do you want to hear?” Kitty asks. “A love story please” Alice says sleepily
“Ok, Once upon a time, in a little town, there was this handsome boy who was very rich he never saw is mother or father because they were working all the time. The only person he could trust was is nanny. He stayed inside all day watching the other kids run around outside and wished he could go and play with them but his nanny wouldn’t allow it, he wasn’t permitted to get dirty. Then one night he decided to sneak out of the house just one time to see how it was. He opened his window and climbed onto the roof silently he tip toed across the roof, too a plant that snaked itself up the side of the house. He grabbed the vine and swung himself off the roof and started to descend down the long vine until he reached the soft ground under his feet.”
Kitty glanced over to Alice who had fallen asleep. She slowly got up from the bed trying not to wake her still sister as she silently walked across the room and turned off the lights.
