New Version, instant Alerts!

It's finally time for a new release of the Alerter. v1.3 can now be downloaded from the downloads page on the profile. What's new with this version: - Introduces instant alerts, for now just Inbox and Comments, but more will follow (and you won't need to update again when we change more over to be instant!)
- Improved security and password handling.
- Added a quick 'User Info' window to see details about your friends, just right-click on a friends name to open it.
- All the previous themes now get installed by default.
- A bunch of changes to the Theme manager.
- Some bug fixes and feature updates.
- Got rid of the Tray icon for the Mac OSX version, all functionality now moved to the Dock icon
The new server handing the instant alerts is brand new, so there may be a few bugs, if the Alerter gets disconnected at any time, just hang in, it will be back up again soon. As always, let me know if you have any suggestions for features or found a bug.

Installing a theme in WindowsXP
|

NOTE: You must be running v1.1.0 (or later) of the Alerter for Themes to work, if you don't have the latest version, go download it first! The following is a quick guide to installing a new theme in the VampireFreaks.com Alerter for WindowsXP. If you are using another Operating System, take a look here anyway, as it's pretty similar no matter which OS you are on. - Download the theme to your desktop by right clicking on the link and choosing ("Save Link As").
- You should see a Zip file with the name of your theme on the desktop, you need to extract that now. Right-click on the Zip file and choose 'Extract All' and the Extraction Wizard should open.

When you see the Extraction Wizard Window, Click 'Next' until you get to 'Finish', then click that. - Open the Theme Manager from the Alerter, and click 'Add Theme', then navigate to the folder you just extracted, and click on the actual Theme file inside the folder, then click 'Open'.
(Click image to see a bigger version) - Your theme should now be installed, just double click on its name in the list to use it.

NOTE: You must be running v1.1.0 (the latest version) of the Alerter for Themes to work, if you don't have that version, go download it first! I've made 4 new themes based on the default one, just with different colors:
They can be downloaded from [ here ] (Right-click and choose "Save Link As"). To install them, just unzip the file you downloaded and use the Theme Manager Window in the Alerter to chose which one you want to install. Update: Added a pink one too!
