Recently, Adam Lambert finally cut ALL his ties with 19 Recordings. For the whole story, here's a link to an article explaining everything fully: http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry/record-labels/adam-lambert-19-recordings-amicably-part-1008087362.story
I'm going to sum it up for you though: he's been with 19 since his Idol days, as that's a company usually used by AI alums. This company has profited from his two main albums (For Your Entertainment and Trespassing) and his remixes and live albums. Trespassing unfortunately didn't do as good on the radio as 19 wanted (which makes me sad because it was Adam's BABY). The album itself is fantastic, but 19 didn't promote and support it like they should have, so stations really didn't play his music.
Adam has been slowly severing ties with 19, but now he's completely separated from them. He's already signed with a different recording company (Direct Management Group, which is also home to Katy Perry). Apparently, talks for the direction of his third studio album have already started.
I'm glad that Adam might finally get the promotion and support he deserves from his recording company, but I'm also sad that this means the Trespassing era is coming to a close sooner than he and all of us (the fans) hoped for. He's only had three singles (one of which now won't have a music video) and he probably won't have an official Trespassing tour.

As the title suggests, I MAY be going to Europe in 2015. The trip is in June, it's ten days long, and it's to Germany, Italy and Switzerland. The price from the tour company is about $3500 (plus spending money). Since I have 2+ years until then, that gives me time to save up. If I can get a job when I turn 16 and put away a little less then $300 a month, I should be able to pay off the trip myself AND have plenty of money to take with me.
I already have some jobs in mind. There's a local grocery store near my house that might hire me as a cashier, or I could work as a secretary/aide in the city's courthouse. Also, I could possibly get a job helping with aftercare at my school--that's the one I really want. I just need the job to be nearby, so I won't have to sacrifice too much of my paycheck to gas money.
The tour is a really good opportunity. Included in the $3500 price above is transportation (flights, buses, trains, subways, etc), hotels, meals (breakfast and supper), a full-time tour director, tours led by guides, and entrance fees into famous places/attractions. I'll really only need to bring money for souvineers, tips, and a little for "just in case".
All in all, I think I'll need to raise about $4500 to $5000 to go. I don't plan on spending ALL of my money while overseas, but I'd like to have some security in KNOWING that I'll have money to fall back on if I somehow get in a bind.
Anyway, this is all hypothetical. My teacher who is in charge of the trip (it's a school trip) said we need to get at least six people to go or we'll have to cancel the trip. I'm one student, and I can name two other students off the top of my head that are also really interested. One of these students also has a dad who may want to go, and my own mother may also want to go. And even our school headmaster has expressed an interest in going. That's six right there, if we can them all to go. Again, this is all speculation, but I really hope everything works out. Mood: Hopeful Music: Trespassing by Adam Lambert
So, I haven't done anything truly exciting over winter break. I mean, I've stayed somewhat busy, but I haven't gone on some outlandish vacation like several kids in my class. It must be nice being rich.
Anyway.
I've stayed up till two AM and slept in till 11 AM, occasionally coupled with an afternoon snooze. I've spent a good bit of my time reading and writing. I've reread Pride and Prejudice and have gotten about halfway through a collection of the greatest adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I've finished rewriting a story I had up on FictionPress and written two extra chapters. (Here is the link if you wanna read it: http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2923920/1/The-Pleasure-Servant WARNING contains M-rated material)
I also spent a good bit of the time working on gift tags at school. We had a service project were we were trying to raise money to buy Christmas presents for the veterans at the local VA nursing home. I helped by selling handmade holiday gift tags. We were able to raise the needed amount ($3000) to buy all the veterans in the home some new clothes to keep them warm.
I drank a lot of icees too, even though it's really starting to get cold.
On Christmas day, we went to my Mamaw's house, as usual. But my Mom's car was acting really weird (weirder than usual, because it's always doing some crazy shit) so we all (my Mom, Dad, and brother) piled into my neighbor's Volkswagen Beetle. That was a tight ride. But we made it, and I ate good food, my aunt gave me an art set, and I took a nice long nap. So, all's good. ^-^
I ordered some stuff online too. I got my first Tommy Joe Ratliff shirt over Thanksgiving. Over Christmas, I got an Adam Lambert bracelet and poster. The poster is big, 24x36! Now I just need a frame, LOL. Gonna buy some cheap framed artwork from Walmart and use that. It's a better deal than having something custom made. Also, I ordered a t-shirt from Spencer's, some new Rocketdog shoes, and a Tommy Joe Ratliff poster (this one isn't quite as big as my Adam one, only about 20x16 or something like that). They should come in soon.
So...yeah. That's the essense of my winter break. I go back to school this Monday...blah. >~<
PS: Also, I saw the pilot episode for the English TV show, Sherlock. IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE IN LOVE WITH A SERIES AFTER ONLY WATCHING THE PILOT? Because I think I'm in love...with Johnlock at least. OTP madness!! XD Mood: sleepy Music: Evanescence
It's been a while since I was last on here. I've been really busy with school, and I don't have internet at my house. But I might get internet at my house after Christmas, so... the problem COULD be solved soon.
Also, I have an update on my medical condition. I still have rheumatoid arthritis (I wasn't really expecting it to go away), and, in case I haven't said this yet, I also have lupus. I was put on steroids for the RA around March. I was supposed to start weaning off themn soon, probably the summer, but the doctors ran some standard tests and saw some weird stuff, so they did a biopsy of my kidney and figured out I have lupus. Luckily, the steroids I was on for my RA are the same ones used to treat lupus, so I didn't have to take any new medicine. Unluckily, I had to stay on the steroids a lot longer than originally planned. I'm still on them, though we've begun the process of weaning me off. I started at 60mm, and am now on 30mm. In January I go back to the doctor and hopefully, if the tests they run then look good, I'll be moved down to 20mm.
Oh, and I made A's on all my semester exams.
So yeah, that's an update on me. Music: Nirvanna by Adam Lambert
Homecoming Week is starts tomorrow. This is my first year being a homecoming maid, so...yeah I'm pretty excited. I have my dress; it's blue (I'll post a picture later).
So, for anyone interested, here's how my week is going to go down:
Monday--Senior Citizen Day (each day is themed and we can dress up according to that theme instead of having to wear our uniform)
Tuesday--Tye Dye Day
Wednesday--Favorite College Day
Thursday--Nerd Day; Homecoming Parade (I get to ride in a convertible!) and a bonfire/pep rally at the school afterwards
Friday--Homecoming T-shirt Day (I get to wear regular dressy clothes for a pep rally that morning); Homecoming pictures at four, ride into the school in a convertible at six; at half-time we have the Homecoming ceremony, and at ten the Homecoming dance starts. Then if I'm not completely worn out, there's a party at midnight I've been invited to. Still deciding whether or not to go.
This next week is gonna be busy! I feel tired already... :P Mood: Excited Music: Hero of War by Rise Against
