A7X in Hotlanta....again. March 26, 2008, 04:45:pm
Okay....I’m still on an emotional high from this show. I’m still sore, too, but it was so worth it.

So I had a test in Geography the morning of the show. Can you say LAME? I don’t think I’ve ever taken a test so fast, and I know I’ve never gotten home in 15 minutes before. But you’d better believe I did that day!

I got to my house and Jaimi was already there, waiting for me. I changed clothes and we were out the door by 10:30.

We drove all the way to Atlanta without stopping, and we got there by 3:00. We stopped to pee, then went to Gwinnett Center and got in line.

It was really fun standing outside in 30 degree weather while it SNOWED! It never snows in the South, but of course it did that day. I was in a skirt, so needless to say, I froze my twat off.

We finally got inside. We bought tour shirts first. We went to the general admission area, and NO ONE was there because the band that played first wasn’t anyone big. So we ran down to the front and these girls let me in front of them because I’m so short. Let’s hear it for being vertically challenged!

I didn’t move my ass at all. We rocked out to D’espairsray, the Underneath, and MUCC. Then it was time for Bullet for my Valentine. I’m not a huge fan, but they fucking rocked live. Their bassist, Jay, noticed us immediately. We were being loud as hell. LoL. There was no way he could ignore us. He threw us water and his pick.

After BFMV, Bless the Fall played. I didn’t enjoy that at all. (Sorry to anyone who reads this who is a fan.) They ended after what felt like forever, and it was time for Atreyu.

For anyone who hasn’t seen Atreyu, they are fucking SICK live. I think I died a little bit because it was so good. First, their music is awesome. Second, they have so much fun with each other on stage that you have to enjoy them. Third, they really interact with the crowd (especially Brandon). They did all of my favorite songs, except "The Theft." Alex took his shirt off, which was all kinds of good. They joked and chased each other all over the stage. Oh, and I think their bassist, Marc, liked us too. He stayed on the speaker in front of us for a loooong time. We blew him kisses because he rocks like that. He shook his ass because he’s a sexy beast. ROFL!

I was actually kinda sad when Atreyu ended because I’d been having such a good time. However, it was hard to stay sad for two reasons: 1. Avenged Sevenfold was about to be on. 2. JB Diz was setting up the stage and let me just say, he is so much hotter in person.

We drooled over JB until Avenged came on the screen and told us we only had to wait 10 more minutes. They started a countdown clock, and I seriously thought I was going to explode from anxiety. Ten minutes has never lasted so long.

The clock reached 10 seconds; we counted down, and it was time for Avenged Sevenfold.

There was a big curtain over the stage, but we were far enough over that we could see behind it. I saw Syn walk out and I freaked so hardcore. OMG! That man is so sexy I can’t stand it. Anyways, they tore into "Critical Acclaim," the curtain dropped, and we were off.

I can’t describe how amazing they are. If you’ve seen them, you know. If you haven’t, go buy a ticket NOW! They rocked and they rolled and they fucking PWNT the competition. Syn, Johnny, and Matt all noticed us with our camera. They kept posing when they got on our side of the stage. Syn stuck his tongue out at us, Matt gave me his "I’m a bad boy" glare, Johnny was just....Johnny. I really think Johnny liked our little group of girls, though. He was constantly on our side of the stage, showing off like he can. We had stage sex. ROFL.

I don’t want to spoil the show for anyone who’s going to see them on this tour, so I’ll withold information. All I can say is that Zacky played air bass in front of Johnny and I creamed. We tried to get Syn to do a solo. He wouldn’t and Matt said, "If I could play guitar like these guys, I’d play y’all a solo." Right at that moment, I wanted to marry him. Johnny played a little bass solo. Matt started the comment, "I’m surprised Jimmy hasn’t--" and Jimmy cut him off by doing a drum solo. Then he just started using his double bass pedals so that Matt couldn’t talk, and Matt said, "Okay, now Jimmy’s just being an ass." They finally quit playing around and Johnny sang the first line of "Seize the Day." It was the greatest thing ever.

They left the stage. Some people screamed for Syn. I think they were hoping for a solo like he did on the City of Evil tour. However, we screamed for an encore. They came back and did "A Little Piece of Heaven" and I died again. It was so fucking amazing. OMG! Except for Syn doing the girl’s giggle. That was a tad bit creepy. He was the one who shouted "Come here, you fucking bitch" though, and that was hot, so I guess it evens out.

And the best part of the show for me was Syn coming to our side of the stage, looking at me holding the camera and rocking the Syn Gates Clothing gloves, and winking at me. I swear, I think my life could have ended right then and I would’ve died happy. I think I stopped breathing for a second. Right after he did it, he gave me that sexy smile that he has and I thought to myself "Wow." What else could I think? There was no oxygen going to my brain. LoL.

It was honestly the best night of my life.

A couple of side notes:

I had to call my mom during "Bat Country" and "A Little Piece of Heaven." But I called her during "Falling Down" by Atreyu, too, even though she doesn’t like them as much as A7X.

I know he’ll never read this, but I have to give a shout out to David, the coolest security guard in the world. He gave us water so that we didn’t die, he let me put my purse on his side of the barrier so no one fucked with it, and he stayed over me to keep me from getting killed by the crowd surfers. (Short people and crowd surfers don’t mix very well. LoL.) He also watched the people moshing right behind us and assured me that I wasn’t going anywhere. It was great. I felt like I had my own security guard. Mwah ha ha!
