So i cant help but /facepalm at this shit. the same people who bitch about how "bands in teh scenez" have to stick together and help eachother out, are the same people who turn around and talk shit on me/my band because we got booked on a decent show/festival/whatever.
First off, someone is mad that we were the opening band for Psyclon Nine at Halloween Massacre. This person(s) even went as far to say that the only reason i got the gig, was because I'm "banging the VF manager" for lack of better words. its all hearsay so idk what they said word for word.
Look at those flyers and tell me how many of them have a VF logo on them. I've supported VF for years, and promoted the site. And I've played NYC quite a few times and built a decent fanbase in the area. So why the fuck WOULDN'T we be offered the gig? What the fuck have you done that makes you think you're such a shoe-in for this show?
For the record, jet and I had talked about this show before Chloe and i started dating, and before Chloe joined the band.
OK i design flyers, i hand out flyers personally to people, ive been on this social marketing shit since before you pussys knew what MIDI was.
To say i fucked my way into this gig is bullshit. Its disrespectful to my girlfriend, first of all, and secondly, it says that "i haven't earned it" I've earned this show, and many many more. and a shit ton else because i work hard at networking, i write my own fucking music, i promote my shit, and yeah i spam the fuck out of people and i get my music heard, and so far its been going alright for me.
Hell if all it took to get booked at Halloween Massacre was to hook up with a VF employee, i would have sucked Jet's dick years ago.
But that's not how these things work and Fuck you for saying so Cuz you're jealous that you weren't offered a gig.

Here's some advice for you. Build up a fanbase. talk to your fans (if you dont have any, get some)
PAY your fucking dues. You might have JUST found out about this band, but I've been doing this since 2004.. ok so like... almost 8 years now?... yeah
You can't just start a band and expect everyone to owe you something and book your band just because you've mastered the arts of FruityLoops.
Everyone starts from nothing, and i haven't "made it big" or anything.. so i don't understand why I'm getting attacked all TMZ style.

If you quit worrying about my band, and focused on your own, maybe you'd be doing as well as my band supposedly is.
