I'm just letting everyone in staff of Explicit that our internet at home has been cut off, which is why I have been so absent. I'm not sure how I will be able to keep active, at least until I work out things here. I'm really sorry, trust something like this to happen just as I decide to reopen the cult. Anyway, I will try to check in as often as I can, when I can tolerate using the net on my phone. Thank you to everyone keeping the cult going.
I swear that I am hoarding small animals. Yesterday I went to the pet shop and to get a rat because I saw this huge male one I really wanted. I ended up with him and two other little rats. So now we have three rats and two guinea pigs. I named my big fat rat Othello and the two little ones are Macbeth and Hamlet. Because I am just that lame and unoriginal. Sorry that I haven't been around to look after things that I am supposed to, I was getting my payments reinstated and starting to price and shop for stuff for the nursery. You will have to give my any absences I may have. <3
Little Minnie, the baby Guinea Pig passed away last night for unknown reasons. She was perfectly healthy and running around and then she just looked sickly and wasn't walking or opening her eyes properly. At about midnight she stopped breathing.
These are some pictures of the baby my Guinea Pig had. We named her Minnie because she is a tiny version of her mother. Anyway, she is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. Excuse the poor camera quality, the webcam is a little shitty. And excuse me looking like a total hobo in the background.
So, I had another doctors appointment today just so he could look at my ultrasound and refer me to the hospital and such. I decided to have this baby at the same hospital that I had my son because I know that they look after you really well there. The lady who delivered my son, it was her very first actual delivery. I would have been a wreck if I were her. But she was brilliant and basically tended to me for the whole two nights I was there. Anyway, the doctor said he wants us to go for a nucal fold test, something like that. It's a $150 scan and blood test he wants me to get done to check if the baby has Downs Syndrome. That kind of scares me that he asked because I never got advised to have that scan when I was pregnant with Elai. I'm not due back at the doctors for a month now. Thank God. All the travelling and blood tests and stuff are frustrating and tiring. I still haven't gotten any morning sickness. My appetite is through the roof though and my cravings are all over the place. The worst part is standing at the shop in the middle of the night because you have a craving, but you have no idea what that actual craving is for. I just stood there shaking my head at everything Chris mentioned. The guy working there wished Chris good luck because he will apparently need it. Ha ha, poor Chris. I haven't grown much bigger, as of tomorrow I am 7 weeks pregnant though, so that isn't really a surprise. It must have been bloating or water weight or something making me look so huge before.
On a really bright note, my Guinea Pig had a litter a couple of days ago. It was her first one and she is pretty young, so we were aware there might be some complications. I heard this really weird sound come from the nursing box we had her in to separate her from the male and I frowned and got up to check and there they were. Tiny little things, well actually they are a lot bigger than I thought they would be. The heads are huge. One was only about an inch long and not properly formed. Its back end was all squished and bloody. Poor thing had probably been dead long before it was born, so we took it out and disposed of it. We were left with two, which I identified as a boy and a girl. One caramel and chestnut striped, a mixture of its parents and one caramel and white, to match its mother. We named them Minnie and Mickey. Sadly, Mickey was a bit ill and not quite of the right weight. He looked really underfed. He didn't make it through the night. But Minnie is healthy and growing and is just the cutest damned thing that I have EVER seen. It kills me. I decided to keep her since she is the soul survivor of Caramel's first litter.
It is Chris' and mine first anniversary in four days so we got a Wii as a present to us. Lol. We are just that lame.
