I had my second meeting with my MS nurse today, and I've finally got a treatment arranged at long last. So once a month (starting in about 2 weeks time) I'll be going to the hospital for an infusion of TYSABRI. So glad it's not one I've got to inject myself with. Don't think I could have handled that.
Hopefully come summer I'll be feeling almost normal *crosses fingers*
I haven't given a proper life update on here for a while. A couple of you know what's been going on, but the majority don't.
On the Monday before Christmas I had an appointment with a Neurologist, due to having had a few sensory problems in my legs. The result of this is that I was diagnosed with MS. Merry Christmas huh? I'm taking it ok, I have kinda been expecting it for the last year anyway when I was tested for it last December but the results were inconclusive.
I'm very fortunate to have a lot of good friends that are offering me any help I need, and I have very loving and understanding girlfriend who is always here to help me if she can.
Tomorrow marks our six month anniversary and, even though it has been tough recently, I have never been happier. I don't think I could ask for anyone better. She has been struggling a lot with the recent medical news, but she still manages to make me smile.
