I am not afraid of many things, however, there are a few things I find utterly revolting which for some unexplainable reason causes me to fear them to some degree.
I have decided to make this journal due to Anji not knowing what a June bug is.
These are the top 5 bugs you will see me run from and I will explain why.
1. June Bug
There is a reason this guy is the number one bug I will run from.
It is a very ugly creature and rather loud as it smashes into the house at night, bumping into lights and finally running into people.
They can also get stuck in hair which is just disgusting.
Their legs are prickly and I hate the texture.
Yes, I can step on them, however I dread it as they're incredibly crunchy and they... pop.
Not to mention the fact their name lies.
It's May.
MAAAAAY !!!!
WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU OUT IN MAY ?!?!?!
2. Japanese Beetle
After a horrible experience at the beach when I was a child, I can not stand these nasty little creatures.
I came home from the beach and was getting into the shower.
Whilst washing my hair I felt a prickly legged creature.
I flung it into the corner of the tub after removing it from my hair and decided to drown it in shampoo because I feared touching it.
3. Cicada
While I will admit I enjoy looking at these once their dead as they are rather pretty, they are awful while alive.
They remind me of ginormous overgrown flies with googly eyes.
Not to mention the fact that they come out at night, fly around lights and are very noisy.
My first encounter with one caused me to throw my wallet at it since I had no idea what it was and it was quite horrifying.
4. Flying Grasshopper
These things tend to enjoy flying right into people.
It is quite annoying and gross.
Once again, I can not stand the prickly legs.
They also spit blood and that is pretty nasty in my opinion.
5. Katydid
My hate for these creatures comes from the fact that there were about five of them in my house at once.
I have no idea how they got in.
I woke up during the night to a very strange sound and went to investigate.
Upon seeing one on the counter I figured it wasn't a big deal.
I caught him with a cup and threw him outside.
Next thing I know I heard more of them... they were on the walls and ceiling where I couldn't reach them.
Using a fly swatter, I got one down, little did I know they could fly.
In my hair it went.

I believe my hate for all of these creatures is rather self-explanatory.
I will admit the only reason my fear of these creatures is somewhat amusing - They are all harmless.
