'Hypnotic Dirge' Records is a record lable based in Swift Current, SK, Canada ran by Skog (Ancient Tundra) and specializes in releasing Depressive Black Metal, Dark Ambient, Funeral Doom, Down-tempo and Experimental music. Our official opening day was October 20th, 2008. From that date forward, all releases were made available to buy.
No Satanic, Christian, or otherwise religious themed projects will be a part of this lable, although this does not apply in the distro section. Most releases are on Pro-CDr in limited copies of 100 or 200 copies depending on the demand for the album. Some special albums will be released in 300, 500, or 1000 copy quantities on Pro-CD Replication. Booklet sizes range from 2 pages, up to 16 pages depending on artist and lable preferance. Demo Submission! If you wish to be aboard this lable, please send us a message. You will have to ultimetely send a demo though, as apllication through myspace will not be allowed unless we knew of you beforehand, barring a major exception. We are fairly openminded and will give every demo a good listen before making a decision.

Album packaging is guaranteed to be of good quality, and much effort will be done in the way of promotion, and we will work together with the artist in finding interviews, reviews, and other promotion if they wish. To Purchase an album(s)! (Check Blog Entry - Ordering Information) Artist Royalties! All royalty agreements with the artist will be the same for everyone. These are the royalty guidelines: I - 10% of the copies printed are yours and will be shipped to you as soon as we receive them from the production company. II - 25% of all profits are yours, and will be sent to everyone in 3 month intervals. (Profits meaning , for example if an album cost $300 to get printed, that is not profit. Any money made after covering the cost of production is consider profit and 25% will be sent to the artist.) Distribution and Trades! We are always interested in making trades and selling and buying for the distro. We believe that the true way of the underground is to help out fellow musicians by making their album available through a variety of sources. We are always looking to expand our distro, providing it is something we enjoy.
