Unsolved-Mysteries Unsolved Homicides
Details:

On February 13, 2017, Abigail Williams, age 13, and Liberty German, age 14, were hiking on the Delphi Historic Trail near the Monon High Bridge just east of Delphi in Carroll County, Indiana. Abigail and Liberty were reported missing to police after their parents were unable to locate them at the pick-up location. Volunteers subsequently discovered the girls’ bodies in the woods east of Delphi in Carroll County, Indiana, on February 14, 2017.

Investigators have distributed a photo (shown above) of a person observed on the Delphi Historic Trail. The photo appears to depict a White male wearing blue jeans, a blue coat/jacket, and a hoodie. During the course of the investigation, preliminary evidence has led investigators to believe the aforementioned person is suspected of being involved in the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German.

Whoa! I am from Indiana and lived in the county right next to Carroll county. Crazy. It is a rural, farmland, small town area. Delphi is fairly small. Believe me this has to be a huge deal there. No one expects this kind of thing to happen in an insular area. I feel so much sorrow for these girls parents. I'm surprised they were discovered so quickly. The killer must have not cared too much about being caught. There would have been numerous dump sites available but I guess he would have been able to get two bodies unseen. But then again he could have come back at night. No one would think a pick up truck near a rural path to be odd. Lots of hunters, fishermen, etc. Maybe they were already searching the area. Sorry thinking and rambling out loud.

Weird voice clip. I know it was interpreted as Down the Hill but before I saw that, it sounded like someone say Danville which is a town in Indiana.

From what I just read on an article, it says one of the girls took the photo of the man pictured above and recorded his voice. I can hear how it sounds like Danville, is that close by? Do you think maybe he was making small talk saying Danville, as opposed to giving them an order like down the hill? It also says they have a person of interest but no evidence linking him to the murderers but no evidence ruling him out.

Yeah don't know about why he would say either but if someone asked him where he was from then he might have. Danville is about 1 1/2 hrs. From Delphi. Also, since it was the girl recording it maybe she turned it on when she knew they were in trouble. Down the Hill could be a direction (in answer to a question) or a command.

I wonder that myself, if she sensed something bad and tried to get a pic and recording of the perp. It said they were using snap chat when they took the picture and I'm also assuming the recording. That would explain why the clip is so short. This case is still fairly recent and I feel they are close to solving this one.

I hope so. I'm sure parents are still not allowing their kids out on the trails alone and that's a shame.

To think the person responsible is still out here is a shame.
